You can vote down, we just ask for attention.
Asking for attention isn't against the rules. You know it, right?

Steam is removing Greenlight because of things like this...

Change it to "check out my game on greenlight" (remove the "vote"). Valve won't accept your submission otherwise.

I thought about the same before but decided to keep it. Well, now I have changed it. I believe you know what you are talking about. :D

They advise against it and state it may hinder your chances of being greenlit but they never actually disallowed it.

a raffle is not a giveaway though, is it? - just curious about where this stands in the rules - but to be fair it appears as though the mods might be leniant ? - perhaps better to offer a giveaway on this site though, might get you more people interested in the end; and not fall foul of any rules and regs of steamgifts :)

Sorry, but I don't understand what you are trying to say. Are mods of SG going to close this thread?

not sure - that is why I asked questions, with regards to a raffle and if it is considered a giveaway - in regards to the steamgifts rules that is - sorry, cannot answer the last bit - others might be able to though, I was merely asking for a clarification and suggesting that you might get more traffic if you did giveaways (rather than raffles) here on the site - it would certainly encourage me more I know that much - I don't even bother with orlygift raffles at this point in time :)

as for the greenlight bit - well I support groupees ones when they ask :) so okay by me :P

Your hyphens confuse me. XD
Well, as far as I can see, most people just do not read giveaway description. However, it is not a reason not to try! Also from here e.g. I can only buy RU/CIS games... Anyway, we will discuss this in our team. :)

Breaking Good looks great, it's nice to see an original puzzle game on GL.

Some honest suggestions:

The game image and formatting of the text in the description is pretty bad. There is no extra images to break up the wall of text and paragraphs are non-existent.

I appreciate that English is not your native language, but little things like that will have a massive impact on GL votes. The quality of language used in your description is the only indication potential customers have as to your proficiency as a game creator.

You'll have a much better time getting a native English speaker on-board to manage your community and store page, instead of just giving away your hard work for free in the hope of a little exposure.

good idea, with regards the last couple points - deffo worth looking into this - nothing more off-putting than being unable to read through a page of text without understanding some of it because the overall info is lost in translation

The classic spam you friendlist with invites to our group and get a 0.05$ worth key for free .
I will never figure out why are people so desperate to get more ppl in their steam groups.
If ppl have interest in your group they will join themselves, and if I find d your group share worth I would just invite them without needing any reward for doing so .
Jus my 2 cents.

That aside the game looks decent compared to all the trash that's trying to spill out of the sewer greenlight has become bevofe the floodgate is finally shut for good so I voted for it .

Looks like something worth couple dollars.

Thank you for positive feedback about our game.

We are not happy at all with that we have to struggle with those votes and while trash games developers just buy people's votes and pass GL in 3 days we are still trying to attract people with our own forces. We don't like it either. We would just pass it directly to Steam Direct (if price is adequate) without messing with all that stuff. Sorry. I clearly see now why GL is shutting down.

You seem like a reasonable chap ....
Steam direct pricing should be reasonable ... you may want to check the TotalBiscuit and JimSterling recent videos on the matter .
People at valve didd refuse to give clear pricing , but they did say that direct will be using prices closer to the existing ones for greenlight .
So the 1k+ speculations are just someone making clickbait articles .

Other then that i understand your situation , and even tho i dislike the method you are using to gain views towards your game it may be the only one working right now .
The only other way is to resort to questionable groups like YoloArmy and the Original network , which flat out threat indie devs that they will bring theyr horde of peons on them if they dont provide them with keys from some other games they made so they can promote theyr currently in greenlight games .

There is SO much stuff getting put on GL daily that its literally imposible for a normal person with a 5/2 9-17 Job to have the time to just go trough it all on a daily basis to discover some stuff that it may be worth giving a chance to pop on the steam store front ,

Its mostly because some developers ... if you can even call them that ... figured out that you can scrap up few asses you bought ( i hope ) from the unity store make something thats kinda working and took less then a day to put together , put trading cards in it and sell it for a dollar .... and you end up getting profit out of it .
Not purely out of the game itself , but mostly from the trading cards .
And if the thing actually got on the store page , you dont even need to sell it ... you can just give it away on mass and watch the cents from the trading cards that people sold drip into your account and eventually turn in on profit .
The classic mass gleam giveaways for 10.000 keys mean that 30.000 cards will eventually appear in the steam economy ...
Even if they are complete garbage and sell for 0.03/4$ you still get a cent for each of them .
So even if only half of those got sold in the market you still make 150$ with is already 50$ profit from something you may have just got as a asset pack ( looking at you UnitZ )

Its pretty obvious what your game is Parodying with the tittle and all ... but it still looks like a game that at least had effort put in , and wasnt just put together in an hour .
I genuenlly hope your game gets approved before they completely close greenlight , and i hope your next project can go trough steam direct and wont require you to go trough such embarasing methods to get attention to your game .

Sorry for the wall of text , it just kinda happened ... but that is a matter i take to heart since i have a friend who was strugling for months with greenlight and eventually just gave up cause his actually pretty fun RPGMaker game ( No bias here :) ) just did not get approved , while stuff with far less content or work put into got on .

if you cant afford buying votes to get past gl within 3 days you will have alot of problems paying steam direct fees :)

btw: no giveaway -> no vote

The real problem is fighting with GL. Huge waste of time, resources and nerves. I don't know SD prices yet but I'm ready to believe that SD is really good decision.

i dont think it would be a good decision to spend 1000$ to sell a game like the one you try to greenlight,
most likely you make huge loss on that

I got 2 games through greenlight with ease, 0 time wasted, 0 resources, basically i had to set up a greenlight page and afterwards it was just about waiting a few. One game was greenlit on its very own, the other one was on a groupees BAGB which most likely sped up things

Also i dont think much games will greenlit anymore since they announced the closure of greenlight, and if youre not top 100 right now that means you most likely wont make it at all. tbh trying to get greenlit right now seems like a waste of time.

edit: also making people vote for your game in exchange of free gamekeys will get your game removed from steam most likely instead of getting greenlit

and well that wont be nice but anyway: tbh only trash games have issues getting through greenlight, i dont like the term but you used it earlier yourself. your game is basically a candy crush ripoff with 4 cameras instead the possibility to simply turn it. lol

i can see why you struggle with greenlight with such a simple game idea, maybe aim a little bigger the next time and greenlight wont be an issue

I have never said that. Our game is qualitative and awesome and I always said that. Few posts above I said:

Whom do you want to trick here?

well your definition of qualitative and awesome seems to be way different than the common one

again its a candy crush ripoff with flaws, nothing more.

Oh well... Most people like our game. I am not going to discuss our game anymore.

Let's better talk about your games, as you want to start this war. Don't say you think that "Typing with Jester" is even good game. 70's are over. Typing quest, wow. How original are you? And "Sector Six"? Rip off of any scroll shooter, LOL. Again, how original are you? You are not at all. By the way, reviewing your own game? You are just pathetic.

Trying to frustrate us by talking negative trash here? Well, you failed because now we are proud of our game even more. It is clear your are just jealous competitor. I spent more than enough time on you and I am not going to answer you anymore.

typing with jester has currently about 800-1000 hours went into it, mostly for the engine, good luck trying to make a "typing quest" if its that easy ;) Check the community hub, people actually like it. If you talk about creativity, lets compare the amount of typing related games towards candy crush clones... :) Typing games are one of the smallest niches out there, so i think people into these kind of games appreciate alot.. i released Early Access like 9 months after i was able too just to assure people get the quality they expect, the trailer and the screenshots are absolutely outdated and most of them are still from the first greenlight phase.

sector six currently has 5000+ hours of development and is far more than any scroll shooter, the rpg and loot system have huge impact also the ship building itself alters gameplay, if you would even try to understand what happens on the trailer you would know ;) Also feel free to check the community hub for this one.

the review is an obvious joke / pun, steam key reviews dont count towards the overall rate anyway so who gives a shit, 9/13 people seemed to find it funny

im not trying to frustrate you, theres a difference between a puzzle game slapped together within hours or days and something where alot of passion and time was invested. Im totally not a competitor, i do this as my hobby, i have a real day time job and do this in my spare time. Im more than fine with the amount of people that buy and enjoy the games, so i guess theres no need to discuss with someone stuck on greenlight. Most of your greenlight comments are about copyright infringement... What a great start ;)

Shots fired and immediately saying you wont "answer anymore" , thats mature :)

Also you stalked my profile alot - seems you really invested time into this lol

Now he give keys for gl votes. What next? Keys for positive reviews and REX giveaways? 😝

This: "1) Send 30 or more invites to your friends" made me to vote down your game even if it does look okayish.
Everyone in my friendlist who invites me to stupid groups like this will directly get deleted. Like Sa6peto said, there is absolutly no reason for a group like this besides of spam.

Maybe it sound to harsh but because of groups like this we have also those idiotgroups that try to get free keys from devs, fake reviews and vote stupid games up on GL.
