Is it worthy enough to buy?(Poll Requires Games to Vote)

Yay!
Nay!

Most of my friends who have played it really like it. I was not a fan of the combat mechanics last time I tried though. I was going to suggest trying the F2P game "War of the Roses" since it's very similar but it doesn't appear to be on Steam anymore. When did that happen?

It's excellent RPG sandbox - many games nowadays abuse "sandbox RPG" term which they use as a substitute to "open-world RPG", which is not the same. In M&B you do not have a fixed goal or small goals - you define them yourself. I played a lot of M&B long before I started using Steam and I had a lot of fun, plus modding community is huge and you have at least double of that once you're done with the main game. Definitely worth it to buy.

Personaly i say hell yeah. First time i played original Mount and Blade i thought it's just my dream came true. Vanila game might get repetitive after few dozens of hours, but if you have mods like Clash of kings (game of thrones), Last days of the third age (Lord of the rings), Star War Conquest, ton of mods like from ancient rome, 18century america, medieval europe and uncountable more, just about anything you can think of, this simply expandes replaybility of this game to no limit. But i suggest trying trial version, so you can find out if you would like this kind of game. And if you decide to buy it, go for napoleonic wars dlc, it's awesome multiplayer fun and if you like vikings you might want to check out Vikings conquest dlc, that expands the game yet to another level and it's so polished, even based on real history, so also worth buying i would say.

It's an excellent game, at least if you don't care about fancy graphics and if you will like the combat mechanics (since you will fight a lot that will either decide if you will enjoy the game). Getting on your horse and just mowing down enemies with your lance is so much fun. Sieges, especially on defense are also great. The base game gets a bit boring after 20-30 hours but there are so many great mods for the game. Since some other mods were already mentioned, i would also recommend Prophesy of Pendor which is imo the best mod.
