Do you have to take everything literally? Serious as in there will be serious games available on tablets and not only dumbed down casual games. Obviously I think that PC is the platform to go.

I don't really see how anyone would want to play it like that. Having the controls on the screen causes your own fingers to block most of the screen. Every game with on-screen controls is awful from my experience (I've tried plenty of them) and I don't even have big thumbs.

I just watched some gameplay videos of Max Payne and GTA3 on Youtube and it doesn't look that bad.

GTA 3 on iPhone wasn't bad. A bit clumsy controllers at the start, but it worked fine. My main consern was how long it took to boot, which meant I barely played.
On the iPad, it worked great. On both iPgone 4 and iPad 2, it ran much smoother than on my 2 year old designer computer wich runs Just Cause 2 without any problems at all.
