Question about Wrath of the Lamb

Okay, so since I'm an achievement whore when it comes to great games, I'm firmly on my way to Platinum God in this game. But one very weird thing happened to me and I'm curious if anyone else encountered this before me (according to Google, noone did).

I finished The Chest (final-final level) with Samson, and it unlocked a completely unrelated achievement, Eve's Bird Foot. The achievement it was supposed to unlock is Samson's Lock, which was nowhere at that moment, but I actually picked up the item called Samson's Lock even twice. Now, when I finally finished The Chest with ??? (after like 8 hours of trying), I get Samson's Lock as an achievement, and not ???'s Soul. I double-checked the secrets unlocked in the ingame menu, and they say the same things; no ???'s soul, and while I didn't beat the game with Eve, there's the bird's foot.

Anyone encountered this? Are the wrong items unlocking for the wrong characters? And please tell me I won't have to finish it again with ???... It was a fucking pain.

Thanks a lot! Seems like I didn't look at the most obvious place after all. Gotta finish with Cain quickly then, at least before Edmund fixes this. I really don't want to replay with ??? again...

I dont think edmund will ever fix that(been playing when the chest was added) and been always like that, the only characther that works fine are Isaac and Maggy.

Eh, I just finished the Chest with Cain, and it unlocked Cain's Eye. Something tells me I'm pretty much fucked now, but I'll see what happens after completing it with each characters.

Unfortunately, no. However, Edmund McMillen (developer) said he has no problem if people get the game form a pirate site if you want to play vanilla.

I've never played the original BoI because when I bought it I also bought WotL.

Also worth noting that not only are most of the Chest achievements switched around, but that beating the Chest with ??? currently unlocks Eve's in-game secret instead, and vice versa.

On a somewhat related note, beating the game with any character after using the Ankh counts as a ??? run instead. I learned this the worst possible way and ended up having to beat the Chest twice with Samson. God I hate Samson.
