One of the best MMOs, IMO. Though, I doubt I'll go back to it. Haven't played in a few years.

Oh I remember playing this early on when it was sub-based, might install it again and have a quick go at it for a little bit, see how the game has changed

I played all of the storylines. Sith Juggernaut seemed to me to be the least "cookie-cutter" of the lot. I would place Agent at #2.

Some EA problems

Honestly it's one of the rare MMO where you can play the F2P game and not be ground to death. The grinding is way less than in later MMO games. Subs help you progress faster, sure, but they didn't make the F2P so mind numbing that you just have to get a subscription.

I think he was commenting more on the fact the 60 day sub is more expensive than buying a 30 day sub for 2 months ;-)

Haha I didn't even make the maths (I'm so lousy with numbers!)
Yeah that's definitely EA for you.

They fixed it. A 30 day is $14.99, while the 180 day sub is $12.99.

How single player friendly is it?

I played WoW for 7 years, and while i don't mind grinding, i am never going back to the second job, that was Raiding, so just wondering if its worth it, for the single player

Better than WoW about that

SWTOR is the best single player MMO. Or was, no clue how is it now. Leveling story clearly great and entertaining.

Still fine but not so confortable like it was: now, you have to buy an artifact equipement autorisation if you want to use the stuff loot in dungeons. Moreover, the limit of credits for f2p player is far from enought with the current price on the market. I have a good account: 8 classes, all with artifact, with 3 jobs and an access to HK, all with the ancient limit of 350k credits. Now, even with the one million one, it is impossible...

well, for the leveling part still i guess a F2P enough to experience it.
+i believe the huttball pvp would be awesome for an arena f2p pvp game:-D

Sure, it's just little frustrating to can not equip artifact found in dungeons x)
Huttball is really fun, indeed

Speaking as a former solo player, SWTOR used to be the most solo-friendly MMO. There were a few things that required a group, however, and as I was unable to find anyone to accompany me, I eventually gave it up.

Thanks for all the input, i think im gonna stay away, as the risk of getting sucked in like WoW, is just too high

That is the thing about MMO's. Just like YouTube, they will suck up as much time as you give them, and you will barely feel it. Just yesterday, I wanted to play a little Dungeons and Dragons Online. My friend and I decided to run a short quest, and the next time I glanced at my clock, an hour had disappeared from my life. Our "short quest" ate up almost five hours, and I only "felt it" once I had signed off.

Not really, actually they're quite generous I was really surprised. If you buy a subscription only once you get all the past dlcs and they're yours, forever.

MMOs aren't really my thing, but it's always great when an IP you enjoy comes to steam! Enjoy =)

Hopefully this will hype up the KOTOR IP in general and we'll get a KOTOR 3. We are already getting BG3 and VTMB2 so this could be our year 😉!

I played this for a bit a few years ago. It's fun, but Elder Scrolls Online (at the time) and then Destiny 2 (these days) are my main squeezes.

I love ESO. It's a particular thing, of course, so it depends on what you like. In terms of gorgeous detailed expression of lore, with stories set meaningfully in a relatively coherent world, ESO and LOTRO are hard to beat. I still play it, though I'm starting to fade out from time to time. It would benefit greatly from a new engine, but what Bethesda game wouldn't? I think Zenimax is doing a really good job managing the game, too.

I have been playing it for the first year, but atmosphere too clean/light and not enough RPG support for a MMORPG.

I tried the game, however, the equipment system in this game 100000000000000000% turned me off this game :( :( :(

All gear is generic stats, I didn't see any unique abilities/stats on any gear when I played.
The 'bound to account/character' gear ruined any sort of user interaction via trading.
I don't even recall a crafting system? (been many years)

Don't be fooled, this game still has "optional" monthly sub, that is very expensive.
The f2p side of the game was heavily nerfed/content cut from what I remember.

MMO's for me, must have a completely open trading and crafting system, otherwise, I'll not play it.
I truely hate 'untradable' items with all my life and soul.
