Bump for another landmark visited and solved (though I couldn't agree with rumours in Q 10), thanks for the puzzle!

Bump! as always the original story is much darker than the disney's version

It's a shame that some people damage landmarks such as the mermaid. I get wanting to protest certain things, but permanentely damaging such a cultural icon is just disgusting. Anyway, thanks for your puzzle!

I watched a Soviet version of this legend (I think it was from 70s) and it was much sadder but still I wasn't sure what was original Andersen and what was added by the director. It turned out it wasn't 100% faithful as it is always the case with book/story>>movie but it was far more accurate than the Disney version ;)
I often check wiki for information after I watch something, hear about fairy tales/legends/history etc :D

Bump for solved :)
I'm a bit horrified that the Danish wiki page has a censored photo of the statue (with the statue cut from it) because of Edvard Eriksen's copyright.

I prefer the original story to the animated story. So much more we can learn from it.

Interesting backstory, I can never understand why people feel like defacing art, it's just rude >:(

Welcome to Denmark!
As you walk on the shores of Copenhagen a wonderful sight appears in front of you. A naked lady sits on a rock at the edge of the water. But as you come closer you notice something's not quite right. Her legs are not human, and where her feet are supposed to be there are only fins. You're standing in front of The Little Mermaid.
You want to learn more about the history of this sometimes naughty and sometimes brutally murdered fishcreature? Jump on in and discover what's hidden under the sea.
Entrance to the puzzle-tour is HERE.
Note: Collect the passcodes from the 5 landmarks from this week to gain access to a train for week 2!
Schedule for complete event and access to weekly trains can be found HERE.
