Since previous steam summer sale I spent about 100 $ to collect AAA Or Famous indie game's Full card sets to create in this winter sale, I just wanna know ur Idea about it.
I could buy more full card sets with that money to reach higher LVL, If u wanna write something plz answer these Questions first then tell me ur thought.
1- Do u care about ur badges that u wanna make to reach higher LVL in steam?
2- Do u spend money for ur steam LVL?
3- If u care about ur badges, What games Should I have their badges on my profile that I dont have
(My inventory: http://steamcommunity.com/id/paradaimix/inventory) (No need to open, Just if u think badge of a specific game that u created is beautiful, metion the the game's name and # of badge LVL)
4- Is there any way to delete trash game's badges from steam profile that u created before?
Thanks in advance: )

Steam Level increases your rate of receiving a booster pack drop:
•Level 10: +20% increase in your drop rate
•Level 20: +40% increase in your drop rate
•Level 30: +60% increase in your drop rate
•Level 40: +80% increase in your drop rate
•Level 50: +100% increase in your drop rate (i.e. the rate has doubled)

I'm trying to reach level 30 , got some cheap cards to craft badges .

How much did u spent to reach that goal?

I'm level 40-something and never spent any of my own money on badges. I sell the cards for games I don't like, sell valuable backgrounds emoticons I get, and use that Steam money to finish card sets for games that were at least alright and are relatively cheap to collect. I also used to trade bundle games in bulk for keys, which I sold on the community market.

My Steam Market page shows this:
Purchase total:$26.01
Sales total:$126.65
Net gain:$100.64

Where do you find that info?

http://steamcommunity.com/market/

It should be on the lower-right part of the page. If you don't have it, then it might be an Enhanced Steam feature, which you can download for your browser here: http://www.enhancedsteam.com/download/

Thanks. I couldn't find it using the client, but that link worked.

Huh, I apparently made a Market purchase on June 20th, 2015, that I have no recollection of, and don't know what I bought or why. Very strange...

I'm doing stats of booster pack drops. With around 200 eligible games, i got exactly 1 drop per 15 days with an alt account. With my main, lvl 95, around 1000 games, i got i booster pack exactly each 5 days.

This video explained me how it works (Expecting the maths are the good ones): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjfOkU4db0w&t=465s

Here is my leveling graph (see picture):

The real interest (if we consider only money) is the winter event. If you craft badges, you got an event card. This card can be sold around 0.10€ if do it quick. It's the best moment to mix leveling, badge crafting and getting money for the wallet.
Last year I crafted around 300 badges, got around 30€ money back and around 60 levels. For that I paid around 10€ to unblock 2 more Steam accounts (2x5€ put on the wallet of each account). The 4th Steam account was unblock by a gift card (won on another site). Games was freebies. Except the time spent getting freebies, I spent less than I won and I still have cards to sell and booster cards drops.

This year i got around 160 badges ready to be crafted.
Sometimes I buy a card to complete the badge, but only if the winter event is approaching and if the card cost less than 0.10€. I buy it with the wallet wich is fueled by others cards. Else, I just wait for a booster card drop (12 per months). I dont really care about badge quality except for some loved games.

Counterpart of all this: I buy good games but got as well alot of craps games on my library.
Hope it helps you.

Which in no way depends on the amount of games you are eligible to get boosters for. Unless of course, the amount didn't change.

  1. Not really. I craft certain ones to support my favorite games, but most of my badges are cheap ones. I also craft for profit if I can find something.
  2. I don't spend my own money directly on badges. I use a website to earn CS:GO keys and use them on level up bots. Only paying with my time.
But to answer for the purpose of this question; I wouldn't drop like $20 to get 5 more levels or whatever. If I was patient I'd just trade cards forever.
  3. Not going through 3,500+ cards, but why not just craft them all? I'd say go for the cheap ones and those with expensive emoticon/backgrounds.
  4. I doubt they'd ever implement that. It would make them a lot more profit, but it would probably mess too much with the data and such things.

Yes/No/The ones you find beautiful/No

I only craft badges I find beautiful (I spend around 10 bucks at most before the sale if I'm missing a few cards from sets I really want) or badges I never wanted but won booster pack and got enough cards to complete the set (aka most of my badges these days).
I spent too much on my first year of steam buying cards. Learned my lesson on the second year. I rather buy games now.

  2. Nope
  3. If you just want to level up, obviously the cheapest ones. Otherwise, go with the ones you'd like to display.

I make badges for games that I have full sets of. Mostly from boosters, some from trading. Using money to raise your level isn't that worth. Just get more games with cards and farm them.
Just make badges from games you like. The pretty ones are nice too. There's no way to delete badges but why would you even want to?

Yeah, I think so, I will do the same, just For some of games that I play.

To me badges are just a means to an end. I craft more badges to get a higher level so I can access more functions, but at this point I'm just doing it to get more slots in my friends list.
I couldn't care less about the badges themselves since the only one I use is the one that says how many games I have, I do like getting new backgrounds and emotes but the badges are kinda irrelevant to me.

I need badges to level.
I need levels to have friend slots.
I need friend slots because I add everyone who wins a game from me, and I'm too lazy to remove them. (Actually, I just like collecting them. I have a collection of winners. Other people collect stamps.)

I have spent a few cents on leveling, but I'm not proud of it. I try to finance it entirely from cards.

  3. I don't know about what you think but i used to make badges for games that enjoy.

I like to craft badges of the games I like. I usually trade cards of the games that I'm not interested for the cards I need. Sometimes I sell boosters and cards I'm not interested to buy the cards I need. Using this method the economical cost of crafting badges is minimum.

I just craft a few of my leftovers whenever Summer/Winter Sale starts.

If you want to showcase any badge, look for some good ones. Other than that, if you wanna level up, look for cheap ones and craft .. I love some skyrim badges and some batman ones, there's a thread on steamgifts about some nice looking badges, feel free to use the search option.

  4. No

I am at a level where leveling doesn't get me anything, so I don't bother anymore. I do some events for fun nothing more.
I sell all the cards I get to buy games, I never spent any of my outside-of-steam money for cards/badges..
