Yes, I did. But at first I just stared at the email for a solid thirty seconds until I noticed there actually was a key in there to be copied.
Maybe it has to do with how it was formatted but in mobile is legit hard to see that the key is even there at all, it appears to just be a conspicuously blank chunk at first glance.

From what I understand, some designers instead of white have used the absence of color and instead of black all colors together (can this be done?). So only those with the same settings as them see the same colors.
I'm not a designer to describe it better, and I hope it makes sense.

Honestly I don't have a clue, what I can tell you is that I just turned on the PC so I checked and it shows up fine and perfectly legible on desktop, but on mobile it was white on slightly off white. So either the gmail app is trying to mess with my mind or there's something fucky about the formatting on that text.

Oh, that might be it, I have my phone set to dark mode for everything but on desktop gmail is set to another color scheme. Whoever redacted that email probably set the text color to default instead of black so the app went ahead and displayed white letters.

I understand that the dark mode is still in the early stages, but especially on mobile (android) most chess apps need a redesign. In dark mode it's like playing blindfolded.
Edit. I recently got another mobile (also android) and tried again some chess apps that had the above problem. Everything looks right! I conclude that it was (is?) a problem with Xiaomi's MIUI.
And a photo from the internet of what the pawns looked like...

Seems like I can't even log in, I had an account and it wont recognize it, even tried converting it, said nope, go away you fool!
but it looks like it's too late anyways, judging by the latest comments.
