Why can I still play at Mont & Blade : Warband ?

Hi,
When I tried to play at Mount & Blade : Warband by going directly in the files (D:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\MountBlade Warband\mb_warband.exe for me), it's still working ?

Is it normal ?
Is there any danger about being banned ?

its normal if you have the folder, because you played during the f2p weekend.

it shouldnt be normal if you can still play it

What happens exactly? Remember to set your Screen Resolution to with either 32 bit or 16 Bit depending on which you are, as that what fixed my problem a while back!
