I got a new phone!

Congrats! I'm still rocking the Galaxy S7 that I got as a free upgrade from my S6 (which replaced an aged Moto HD Maxx), and it's starting to feel it's age. Web browsing in particular is starting to feel sloooow. Oh well, I figure I'll stick with it for another year or two. My SO is the one who really needs a phone upgrade - her S7 broke and she's had to go back to an S4, and some of her apps won't even run on the S4 anymore.

had a s5 too, i had to open it twice because the first time my usb plug was damaged when i got the phone and the second time to change the cracked screen ... unfortunatly it doesnt work as intended, screen goes on, but when the display goes black it restarts when i try to turn the display on, had to settle with an s7 but i really hate these rounded corners, i touch it very often with my palm ... oh and the swappable batteries on the s5 was a dream, had two batteries and hot swapped them or used my smartphone as a power bank.

Congrats! As for me, I had to change my phone twice in the last 5 years. Now that my niece is almost 7, I hope that she'll finally stop murdering my phones :)

same situation here, just upgraded from s7 to s21 :), Congratulation, enjoy it !

I know, I know. 7 year is a long time. but the money wasn't really there. Plus my old Samsung Galaxy S5 was still working fine.

Heh yeah the older models were lasting way longer than the new ones will.
I also need to change mine, which is in perfect work order but with internal storage that is now insufficient to update the OS lol.
The many ways they found to make you purchase new devices when your old one is still good.
