I mostly play casual and MMO these days. MMO's don't have saves, and casual don't usually have a save mechanism except to remember your position on exiting. The only game not in these categories I played lately is Borderlands, and I just let it do whatever it does (which I think is save on exit). That might change if I ever die in it.

Currently when playing spyro 1 on emulator I'm save stating every few minutes.

I could be described as having an OCD when it comes to (quick)saves. Probably stems from playing Morrowind that would crash anytime it wanted, so I have the habit of using a quicksave on average once every thirty seconds. I also save normally on a new slot about every five minutes.
(It's the same when working in a Word document or similar, I unconscionably hit CTRL+S while typing, sometimes as often as after every word...)

What is saving? Just joking. Shooter=Almost never. RPG's=before a boss(mostly savepoints).

I'm usually involved in the gameplay so much that I forget to save. So, when I die, it makes me remind that I have to save...So basically, if the game autosaves, I go on playing without saving, and if the game does not autosave, I save when I die :D

Every time I finish playing CoD4, I make a backup from my multiplayer profile.(my friend does it with cod6, and he needed it twice times to use)

When I play half-life I''l save whenever I find some good cover. In GTA I save after each mission and each new gun or large amount of cash I get.
Do you save after every checkpoint? Do you let auto save do the work? Or do you pull a save-free full play through like a boss?
