I just found out some people install train horns in their cars, so they can drive around scaring the shit out of people. How can someone be so fucking dumb! click click I also stumbled on this lowlife's video. I don't get it, why do so many people find fun in making others miserable?
If you too enjoy to frighten people, or just find joy in the misery of others, please try to torture only virtual people.

Edit:
This reminded me of "Everyday Misanthrope", some of you may like it.

I once knew a guy that wanted to replace his car blinkers with flood lights. The moron tried to do it himself and screwed up his cars lights.

Hahaha, we rewired a friends brake lights to his horn, so every time he stepped on the brakes his horn went off. Hilarity ensued.

You said rewired, also I read it as "lines" not "lights". My mistake.

We used to use a small bungie strap from the air horn to the drivers door of buddies semis... they get in and get a blast. That shit was a riot every time... Oh yeah, and drop empty pop cans down the stacks... engine would build pressure then fire them out a good 100 feet!!!

Pranks, jokes, etc, always have someone at the receiving end. Some people take being at that end with a sense of humor, some dont. I personally think the train horns are kind of funny. But I also loved the girl in the drive thru's reaction.

I guess the line between funny and mean is thin. When it comes to doing it to children/elderly and people trying to do their job, I put it in the naughty list.

It's not particularly funny for those nearby, considering a train horn will be at 140-150 db, and if you're nearby then that can permanentely damage your hearing even after exposure of less than 1 second.

What this guy said. A train horn is much louder than you might think. As long as a prank is fairly harmless that's fine, but dangerous or harmful "pranks" aren't funny. Not a single person is amused by the train prank, that tells me enough. The third link is fine though, he pays for the cone and only messes up his own stuff. I honestly don't see why the seller is upset, sure it's childish, but what the hell does he care?

Yeah but in this case, it's an amped-up version of randomly jumping out from behind a corner and yelling in someone's face. Calling that a prank is akin to phoning someone on April Fools Day and telling them their sibling was involved in a car crash. There's a bit of difference between a prank and just being a douchebag, though people with thicker skin, higher tolerance and lighter moods can blur that. Sadly people too often put the onus on the 'prank' victim to lighten up, which is ass-backwards really.

now let`s talk about the modified exhausts. No one can explain me how an average IQ person would drive a car with these sounds like they are driving a fucking Subari WRX while they can barely speed up to 60kmh from 30kmh in 10 seconds.

Diesel is like 2.20$ a gallon where I am, I consider the price pretty reasonable right now. Not enough to burn it off just to piss of prius owners though.

At the moment It's about 1 euro here (for a liter), so that makes roughly 4.18$ for a gallon (correct me if I'm wrong). Plus the salaries are a joke.

What pisses me off about those the most, is if my exhaust breaks and sounds like that, I get a ticket, but if I superglue a soupcan onto the muffler so it looks like I have a 3 inch exhaust, then its ok.

Exactly ffs. My 96 bmw 316s exhaust was broken for 1 week. I couldnt even stand the sound for fucking 2 days just to drive 10 km to university, just took the bus until i had enough money to fix it.

My grandfather took the horn out of his truck and put it into my moms car. When that car broke down we had it installed in the new car she bought at the time, a Hyundai Pony.

One day we were pulling out of a parking spot and some guy came around the corner slammed on his breaks and beeped his little tiny horn in his truck. My mom pulled fully out and right next to his window which was opened and put her hand on the horn. I swear the guy jumped into his passenger seat from the drivers seat. We had to pull over down the road cause we were laughing so hard.

No one expects a truck horn from a Hyundai Pony. I could hear that thing from half a mile away. lol

Sadly the car was in an accident and the horn was destroyed. :(

You can literally hear the train horns across town. Some people use tractor trailer horns, but they aren't as loud. Someone I use to work with took the back seat out of his jeep wrangler and installed a big air compressor for a train horn, it was ridiculous. It seems funny at first, but it could be dangerous. It could cause an accident, heart attack, or possibly hearing damage from a 150db train horn.

For the drive through video, there are a lot of different things people do in drive throughs. I think it's called "fire in the hole" where people order a large drink and then throw it back on the employee through the window. I know there's at least 1 video of a women going through a drive through completely naked. Just search "drive through prank", there are a lot of different videos.

I personally don't think the McDonalds one was that bad. He just did his thing then left. He took just as long as anyone else would, maybe like 15 seconds longer. It was the employees that made it take forever. The people at Burger King handled it pretty well. They laughed and moved on. It's not a big problem like the people at McDonalds made it. That's just my opinion though, and I can see why people wouldn't like it. The train horns definitely weren't cool, though.

Not exactly assholes, unless they put someone elses life at risk. Only because someone needs to feel the void and do comedy for people who dont quite understand comedy. Same way Adam Sandler needs to deliver humor to his fans

I have sensory issues, mainly with loud noises. Car horns are already loud enough as is, to the point that it's hard for me to be walking and have one go off nearby. If a flipping train horn went off next to me, it would actually seriously affect me.

It's fine if it's done around friends and such that you know will enjoy a joke like that, but around strangers, it could cause unintended harm. Not just for people like me, but also from people with ear damage. One woman I met couldn't even be around power drills, or she would have risked losing her hearing. Imagine if someone made a tremendous noise like that around someone like her.

+1 entirely agree. Do these pranks to people you know, and only when you are sure that it won't cause them harm in any way. And even then, you should know wether or not they would appreciate such humor or not before proceeding.

Indeed! One of my favorite pranks is putting a rubber band around that thing you spray the sink with. Person turns on water, gets sprayed. =D But only when you know it's someone that won't freak out or be wearing nice clothes. XD

I couldn't agree with you more. When it comes to pranking, if it can potentially physically harm someone then don't do it. Simple as that. There are heaps of other good pranks you could do that aren't at the expense of another person

I find it quite a bit depressing to see so many SG users agreeing that this is considered funny and "comedy" - which I think personally, unless it amuses both parties, isn't - but that is simply my opinion and nothing else.

In Portugal we have this expression "comer gelados com a testa" which roughly translates to "you must eat ice cream with your forehead"
Its used to describe those people who who have had all opportunities in life but either ignore them or don't know how to grab them.
Perhaps it's a commentary to the people who work in fast food industry, who see life pass by when compared to him, a person who saw a chance to make low quality humor and took it.

So, perhaps he is more intelligent than you give him credit.

Not everyone has the same chances, you don't know what someone has gone through in there life or why they do the things they do. I see no shame in working for a fastfood establishment.

I kind of felt like you implied it, though I realize you were joking I don't think anyone should feel bad for working at a fastfood establishment. Perhaps I misinterpreted your intent, but I feel that in general no one should be made to feel bad for their choices by someone who doesn't know their background. But if I was mistaken let's just drop it ^^

I agree, especially since this has to do with driving on the road. If someone got scared by the horn and reflexively jerked the wheel you could be responsible for a death, and not to mention you'd get sued. It's just dangerous to do around that environment, play pranks on friends, not strangers driving a big metal death machine

In my country (Ukraine) it is against the traffic laws to honk within cities or villages. The only case is "to prevent crashes".

A lot of states in the US have similar laws, but they are usually not enforced (on normal horns). They may say something like excessive use of the horn is illegal or it is only legal to use it in an emergency or to prevent an accident.

There are probably many ways to write someone a ticket for using a tractor trailer or train horn on a normal passenger vehicle. Laws that don't even necessarily pertain to vehicles.
