I too wouldn't mind the option for them to have their own category :)

"The internet is for porn..."

And yes, 675782234 discussions about it before weren't enough. It needed more.

I mean in fairness to OP... people get blacklisted for reviving dead topics and the last topic was 9 months ago, so it's like that meme with the guy sweating over which button to choose. One thing when there's literally another topic with the same thing on the first page, but I think we can cut OP a bit of slack in this case.

I think they do provide resources to hide NSFW apps though.

OK fair point, you mean they would have found the user script if they'd searched.

As far as I know Steam's "Mature Content Filtering" does not provided in the API. We (or SG) can use community tags but that can lead to false positives or false negatives. So this userscript is the best we got right now I think.

Seems like something that should be in the API, since it's not it would be a pain to implement.

I guess we can try to request it from Valve in Steam forums but not sure how would they react. Steam Support definitely won't talk about the API. Without API there won't be an automated system for this, only curation.

And while they are at it, add a proper age verification system. One can dream ...

I second this idea.

From Mitsukuni's comment above, I understand that this is not easy.
However why not make the giveaway creator declare if his/her giveaway contains NSFW adult content?

That seems like more than most gifters would bother with but it would be helpful.
Same for VR.
