I did that once, in my case I forgot to make the backup of some folders when formatting.
Managed to recover tho. Hope you can do it. I used Easy Recovery to do it (most likely, tried many).
I guess you don't need a full version for a bit of txt files tho, but in case, its worth it. :)

Thank you! To be honest I already gave up hope. I'll just need to sit down for like 4-5 hours and get through all the emails and forum PMs so I can get the majority of the keys back. Nothing else I can do here....But I am just too lazy to do this. Maybe tomorrow will do it :D

Hope you could find your lost data. I lost a big deal of important data several years ago, and from that moment I always use cloud storage for backup

Hello guys.
First of all, yes I am dumb. I recently purchased a gtx 1080 and decided to do a fresh start for my windows, cause I didn't do a reset ever, and it is 1,5 yrs old. Well I saved my files to an external hdd, but forgot one thing. One of the most important files from the PC. The one that contained all my unused CD keys for the games. I've installed quite a few programs before realising my biggest mistake in my life. Well, I've tried using EaseUS, ShadowExplorer, but found nothing in that damned windows.old. Is there any VERY LITTLE chance that I could still get that file? Or do I have to go over hundreds of PM's and E-mails browsing all the keys that were on the list (hardest part is that I can't know which is used).
Please help :( Thanks.
