What story game should I focus on next?

I've got this list of (singleplayer)games I could choose from, after I finished Hard Reset;

  • F.E.A.R.
  • Half Life
  • System Shock 2
  • Bioshock
  • Crysis
  • Deus Ex: Human Revolution
  • Dishonored
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

All the trades, plus the sale off course, have terraformed my money into games ;) I appreciate your suggestions guys, that's why I'm asking for them!

From those? If you have Half-Life 2 and the episodes do all those first, if not, go for Bioshock, then Deus Ex, save Skyrim for last, as you'll most likely be putting 200~ hours into that one. :P

[Edit for going into detail about the others] What I've played of Crysis I wasn't all that impressed, it was fun but I didn't find it great, F.E.A.R. is great if you like jumpier games, a lot like Half-Life, but the gameplay isn't all that fun. Just bought Dishonored myself, and have yet to play it. Deus Ex HR was incredible, one of my favorite games, just make sure you stay away from spoilers! I haven't gotten around to System Shock 2 yet, though I've heard incredible things. As for Bioshock, if you don't have the pack it's alright, 1 was awesome, 2 was good, and I really liked the 3rd.

Got them all (Half Life), complete pack ;)

[Edit] I liked crysis 2, so I bought Crysis 1 + Warband in the current sale, so it's not top priority indeed. From what I can read I should play Half Life before I play F.E.A.R., so Half Life comes out on top ;) Deus Ex: HR I had a quick look at, looked awesome, but it's a long campaign from what I've heard, but I've all summer-holiday! System Shock I got for 10 cards, and Dishonored I grabbed as it was only a couple of bucks, so not that important I would say. Bioshock Infinite I played on console, I loved it so I got the complete pack in a trade. So my conclusion is probably Half Life 1 > Crysis > Deus Ex: HR. Cheers mate!

I've never seen what the big deal with half life was. I have played them all before and don't really understand but out of those I'd either choose Skyrim or Bioshock.

Half Life's graphics and such are outdated, but the story is phenominal(At least that's what the internet says). Besides I played multiplayer with my friends, and it is a lot of fun! But if I had to choose between your suggested games, I would probably go for Bioshock first.

Yeah, I kinda forgot the part about it having to be about the story. Skyrims story ain't the best but who knows, you may enjoy half life like everyone else seems to.
