I downloaded the official Steam app for my Android tablet and I noticed I couldn't watch videos/trailers with it.
I tried browsing Steam with my Nokia 5800 (no apps installed, I just entered Steam with the preinstalled browser) and I can't watch videos either.

Is there a way (unofficial apps for example) to watch videos from Steam?

Just use your tablet's web browser. You will have to check the menu option for desktop view however, because the mobile version of the site only have the screenshots. (Or simply click on "View desktop website" at the bottom of the page... lol)

Android 4? Google scrapped adobe flash player so that's the reason you can't watch it.

Actually, Adobe scrapped the mobile version of flash player, not Google. But it can still be installed manually. (Doesn't work with Android 4.2 and up though)

However, I don't have flash on my Android phone and can still see the movies.

They're talking about the app, not the website. The app doesn't have trailer playback built in for some reason, even though plenty of apps can play videos like that.

Web browsers on Android can play the videos though, as Steam seems to detect either Android or the lack of Flash and serves HTML5 video instead.

Note: you may need to view the desktop version of the website to see videos (see link on the bottom of the mobile page). Didn't test the mobile site, but the mobile site looks like the app, so...
