Last month I won the same game twice in one day, so I asked the creator of the second GA to reroll for a new winner, and also submitted a support ticket for that as well just to be sure (which has been unanswered as of now, but I don't know how busy support is, and I don't know how many time an issue like that can take to get resolved either). Apparently the GA creator hasn't connected to SG at all since last month and all their latest GAs have been marked as not received, so I'm wondering if I should do that as well instead of potentially condemning the next winner to the same fate that befell me. However, I also want to be sure that marking as not received will not count as a breach of rules (I really don't want to get multiple wins inadvertantly).

So. Should I mark the gift as not received? If so, can that bite me in the back later (like, GA creator comes back, sends me the key, and whee I got another free pass at this -_- )? Or should I wait for an answer from support and bear with that annoying mark next to the winning icon for a while longer? :/

(It was a nightmare to find a working title for that issue and I'm not even sure I described it accurately x_x )

If you cant make them to delete the GA you wont pass the SGTools filter, so just wait until the GA creator or support response you

I can still pass SGTools filter for now. Maybe it checks only when the game gets added to my profile's list of wins? It's not there yet (maybe this has to do with me not marking it as received?).

Marking it as not received won't be a problem. Hopefully the GA creator will return at some point so that they can re-roll the giveaway

If I mark it as not received and they come back, then check my Steam profile and see the game activated (because I won it from someone else), then contact support to get a received mark, could I get suspended?

(Though I'd rather get suspended for a couple weeks rather than have multiple wins tbh)

Not if you left a comment on the giveaway explaining your side of story.

OK, thanks. From your other post it seems that it's basically the same if I leave it in "awaiting feedback" or if I mark it as not received. I think I won't touch anything for now and wait a bit longer for my message to reach support.

Yes, you're doing everything right so far. Never mark a something as "received" if you haven't accepted it - that will cause all sorts of trouble. "Not received" will sort itself out when a new winner is selected. It's awkward for the giver because he doesn't know if you have used the key on the sly, but as long as you didn't it should work out in the end.

I couldn't have used the key anyway - they only sent me a "-" in the key field.

Leave a comment on the second guy's giveaway explaining that you already won this and that you haven't touched the key he provided. Mark the giveaway "Not Received" or leave it in "Awaiting Feedback" status, do not mark it "Received".

I left a comment as soon as I discovered the double win. They did not send me a key yet (only a "-", which seems common practice). The GA is still in "awaiting feedback" for now.

the "-" in the key space comes if you create the GA as a gift and add the key later

I had a situation like this last month. Waited 2 weeks before I managed to get in contact with the creator.
