I think Desmond will be trapped in another dimension (only his spirit because he died in the AC 3) and may know him in this by some Apple of Eden as happened with AC 2, ACB, ACR & AC 3 know where Minerva and Juno, but It's only my theory

it was quite a big mistake they took out Desmond in the first place. AC4 was ok but would have been better with Desmond imho. Main heroes must not die or disappear...

I thought he dissapear because Ubisoft fired the creator of AC (and Desmond) just like that. This happened before AC3 and thats why AC3 has a totally different year and hero.

Yes it is! I hated him so much, but later I kinda started to like him, especially for the fact he gives you perks and cool stuff after finishing the mission, also he was a funny guy and I even felt sad after I finished the mission, I wish he would appear in more missions lol
