then it is fair to have the same treatment as a humble code from 1 dolar, several games? not alert the user or allow cancel giveaway without punishment. i wanted to play the game, but i wanted to up level...

Mind you that putting stuff on the bundled list is done by one guy, and it can't be done automatically. Darksiders II was put on the bundled list because it was 90% off in Russia as well, meaning in Russia it was a discount of over 95% compared to the US or Europe. The Lost Planet 3 still gives you 40 CV for now, but it'll be put on the bundled list too.

That doesn't matter for the game being put on the bundled list. Once it's more than 95% off on large scale somewhere, it's on the bundle list for everyone.

well, i think this must be improved. i have less level than a people who buy 3 bundles from humble, if all games are bundled.

Then what's happened with Lego Star Wars Complete Saga? It was in the Humble Star Wars Bundle 2 but it's not treated as a bundle game. So are 'full' games that are temporarily very cheap reinstated after a while?

In this case there are a few possibilities

  • Probably, the game hasn't been put on the list YET, but it will be, and it will work retro-actively to the date of the bundle
  • Since LEGO Star Wars was in a higher tier of the bundle, they'll look at the difference in price between the tier below and that tier, and divide it by the number of games in the high tier. If that price is higher than what the game would cost with a 95% discount on Steam, it's not added to the bundle list. (Not entirely sure about this one)

You have the right idea. Shobo calculates the games individually to see if they meet the 90%-off requirement.

I bet against he calculates the difference between the lower tier and the highest tier and divide it by the number of games. Because if he would do that, he should have done this also to humble monthly. Since it's $12 (sometimes lower) and there have been always at least 6 games, at least top games should have been bundled too.

My idea is that he calculates only the tier price itself. So in this case, Lego Star Wars Compete Saga would have been priced as $9.99 alone, so he didn't put it in bundle list.

lost planet 3 complete will bundled soon

Keep in mind that changes to the list of bundle games will apply retroactively, so if a bundle begins today, attempting to gift the game before it's added to the list will offer no advantage. Games may also be added to the bundle list if they're available for free during a promotion, or if they're highly discounted in a sale.

Yup sometimes it works like this, bundled status is not always related to "real" supply & demand price.

Just cause 3 is bundled because it was for sold for 1 dollar for 14 seconds and 3 people got that deal (Okay might be more but still), so tier 1 from humble bundle (1$) will give you a little bit more CV than Just Cause 3 (25-30$) ;)

Whenever something is 90% off in the EU store, it will probably go to the bundle list because other regions have the same discount but lower base-prices which makes it sort of -90%+, relatively.

Was longer than that. And a repeated error.

Hence the text between brackets :P

The length and frequency don't really matter though, since it hasn't influenced the market price, you will not get it cheaper than 25$ or you have to be really lucky, and being lucky can happen with all games when you trade so that's not a factor.

It's the dilemma of whether you want to reduce the number of GAs for the game drastically with the upside of not having the risk of some guy who might have stacked 10 copies being the newest level 10 member and the other option is the other way around, more GAs but with a risk of someone "exploiting" this.

I said "exploiting" because personally I don't think it is exploiting when the hypothetical guy that stacked the copies could have easily traded them for $20+ a piece, which in turn he could even use to buy other (cheaper) high point non-bundled AAA games, like Shadow of Mordor. CoD series etc. Which would grant him even more CV

Had it been just once, it would have been fine. It was only because the error was repeated later that it made it to the bundle list.

Personally I'd take market price as the deciding factor instead of frequency & length of pricing errors, but that's just me, I'll leave it to the guy(s) in charge of this. Let's just hope JC3 will get in an actual bundle soon ^_^

Even F1 2015 is on bundle list, despite it not being repeated on amazon uk.

then tomb raider & ashes of singularity aren't (newegg us).

So it's very inconsistent at best.

I'm kinda conflicted on whatever they should be bundled or not. On other hand it discourages giving these and then not would leave open for abuse i'm glad i'm not making decisions.

Maybe you should just give to give instead of trying to raise your level,Though you are free to do that its not a wise idea to use non bundle games in that effort, price changes/price errors/sales/bundles can happen at anytime.

Though if you want some safe bets you could try and get games like GTA Series,Fallout and Elder Scrolls they have never been bundled and looks like it will be a long time before they are if ever. You most likely will gain more by giving bundles if you watch the cv and buy bundles for the lowest price vs highest cv.

Anyhow it is still your choice but it seems your more upset that your level will not increase and your trying to increase it to win more when imo it should be about giving but as i said your choice on how you want to do things.
