So is that service really just a way to pay someone to download stuff instead of downloading it yourself? Basically the lazy way to pirate videos? Or do I miss something?

Nah.. it's not a pirate thing.. it's an aggregator of all website videos from major channels, so if you don't want to watch them on your pc, then it slings them to your tv via a roku channel

Hey.. was wondering if i could get some opinions on PlayOn and PlayLater( http://www.playon.tv/ ).
(from those of you that have used it)
was wondering:
1) What kind of specs do you want for the computer that "slings" the content? and how much HD space for PlayLater is optimal?
2) Have you used the plug-ins? like AMC one for Walking Dead?
3) Also, in your experience, how good is the Adskipper tech?
some pros/cons on overall service of this software.
