"Depends" wins, when I'm sure we all have our individual reasons for picking it, even contradictory reasons. Like mine is Jesus warning we dishonor God for the sake of our traditions, so traditions should never be contrary to God, so traditions that do not oppose God are fine. Like if you actually still regarded the pine tree as a fertility symbol, then that would be a bad tradition, nobody does, it's just a green thing in the forest in winter, and it's an old northern european custom and reminds us of the time of the year and time with family. This was one long bump.
