So if I was to give a game away and wanted to gift the code to the 1st person to solve the jigidi, how many pieces would be ok for the puzzle? As in, it'd be a race, that's the point, but just spending the right amount of time on it. It'd be a GOG code, so I can check if it's been redeemed and edit the thread to warn people so they can stop and not waste more time. I'd also include a previous announcement on the start so several people can begin at the same time. And mind you, the idea it's to host it elsewhere, but I could make some of those in this forum as well if that's ok, over the usual "solve the puzzle, enter a private gib". Thanks for reading, posting and voting.

How many pieces are ok for a ninja gib, in your opinion (read description)?

Depends very much on the game given away....everything up to 100 doesn´t take a long time so I would probably do it even for shitty bundled stuff. For AAA highly wishlisted titles sky is the limit I would say...just dont make it a black square xD

edit: and I voted for 200

If it was a race, I would make it depend on how good/popular the game is. I wouldn't go over 100 pieces for some cheap game in a current bundle, but if there's something people really want that doesn't get bundled or put in big sales like Stardew Valley, I can easily see over 300 pieces being "ok".

I picked 200 but I personally don't like the idea of it very much. Would be fun if you got 2 friends that battle for something but not strangers in the forum as it's not that great for people who are not online at the time and miss it. Or if someone sees it but doesn't have the time right then and there.

As other people said, it also depends on the game.

What I could think of is if you announce it, tell the game and publish the link to jigidi at a certain time some days later, so more people get the chance. That would be fun as long as the price is worth it ;)

It'd be a GOG code

There'll be much less interest in this game than for Steam version.

Thanks for the feedback so far, it's true that I should be telling which games and announce the thing way n advance so people can join or suggest a better time. For now, the idea of a GOG code is fine for the forum I'd post in and would let me check when and by whom it's redeemed, but for this forum, and with a Steam game as prize, I guess I could put an easy question as solution, so the first puzzle solver can answer in the thread; that way others'd know it's over and I'd add the winner to send the gift.

I also hope this gives other people ideas for their own giveaways, I'm always trying to think of something different but many times end up with easy-to-bruteforce stuff.
