With my consoles, yeah. In my defense though, it is hard to remember several hundred games.

Only time I wanted to get a game I had is if its on sale for cheaper. Example would be when I bought sims 3 starter pack on gamersgate for $22 only to find out a few weeks later, it's on the origin bundle :(

This wouldn't count as wanting the game again, just regretting to buy it before then waiting for a better sale.

Yes, when I've bought Steam "packs" (before Humble Bundle) and later on would hear about "game X", then go to the respective Steam page only to see the green bar with You already own game X

It even happens to me in the steam store - I see a good deal on some really fun game, add to cart and WTF - I already have it?

A friend mentioned during the last big steam sale how pleased he was there was a lot of Hitman Absolution giveaways going up for him to enter. I spent a good 3 minutes trying to figure out why I couldn't see any of them until I realised they were being filtered out because I already owned it.

I had to search my email to figure out I bought it from amazon months ago when it was on a 80% discount or something. Still haven't played it either.
