Interesting, I remember getting the base Control in the Humble Monthly, yet Steam shows I already own the Ultimate edition. I don't remember getting that separately (nor the DLC). Did they quietly upgrade everyone? Does anyone know if there's some way to verify I already have the DLCs without installing the game and checking somehow?

For me if I go to the game in my library on the right I have the DLC's listed. I did not have the game before buying this bundle. The dlc's they gave me are Control - AWE and Control - The Foundation

it cant be, control from HB was 'ultimate edition' just by name, no dlc. They mess it up, rename packages, make it so u can only buy dlc with original version etc

Here's a fun thing to note. I had Control from Humble Bundle Monthly, and I previously bought the Control Season Pass. That should, in essence, make it Control Ultimate Edition. Welp, just for shits and giggles, I attempted to redeem the Ultimate Edition code from this bundle, and it activated. Not sure it changed a damn thing, but.. well.. who knows?? In any case, it is possible.

It's explained (hopefully clearly enough) in the OP. I was hoping that the big text will help people avoid accidentally redeeming their valuable keys on top of the Choice version + store-bought upgrade (and thus, wasting them in the process).

Great minds think alike! In all my research with the "ultimate edition" and the base + dlc version was that of some bug fixes and optimization. I believe they are two different releases, with the ultimate edition being several gigs smaller in size
Fun note, on the wiki, you can learn how to unlock the S4 exclusive content too, if that floats your boat.

WARNING about Control Ultimate Edition
Correct Control Ultimate Edition is ~42.83GB: https://steamdb.info/depot/870781/
If you have the previous butchered standard version from Humble Choice(March 2021), it is strongly recommended that you remove the previous license of Control from steam before activating this new version, otherwise you will be stuck with the old standard+dlcs edition that did not receive any of the latest updates (bugfixes).
If you have any of the old dlcs and season pass, you have to remove them as well if you want the correct Control Ultimate Edition.
On the steam app, go to Help -> Steam Support -> Games/Software -> Search for and Select "Control" -> I want to permanently remove this game from my account.-> Remove license...
Don't be afraid to remove a license on steam.
While the license will be removed, it's still associated with your account in the steam database, so you can add it back by
manually searching for the same game you removed and clicking the option "It's not in my library".
It will give you an option to add the license back up.
I strongly advice against adding the old license back if you activated the new correct Control Ultimate Edition.

What happens if you already activated your new license on top of the old one?
If you activate the new/correct Control Ultimate Edition license while you also have the Standard Edition and DLCs/Season Pass licenses active as well, when you try to install the game it will show around 49GB but it will try to download both versions showing you that it is downloading ~92GB.
You can try removing the older licenses if there is an option to do so and see if your download gets down to ~42.83GB when you try to install. Alternatively contact Steam Customer Support, explain the situation and ask them to remove/disable the old licenses that you have without affecting your latest activated license.

Thank you. This was the reason i doesnt wanted to buy this bundle. Funny is, today I won the game from this bundle (i have to be quick bc it was posted on discord so i decided to have atleast dlcs :D When I tried to install it showed me to download arround 92 gbs which is sum of first and second verion. Than mean you have 2 games in ONE xD I tried to remove humble choice control after that and I can confirm control in my lib. remain as 42gb with dlcs.

OMG, thank you for this post. I played through the Standard edition, and didn't know I was missing all the Ultimate Content until I finished the game and couldn't access the DLC. Then I couldn't buy the DLC, enhancements, or anything. Now the situation is fixed, thanks to you!

I think every month there are fewer and fewer people who actually pay full price for Choice which makes the funds available to bring developers on board to participate continually decrease.
In my opinion IGN went down a slippery slope when they started offering coupons.
Up until then I always thought I was getting my money worth with headliners like XCOM 2 or Dark Souls 3 but from the very moment I heard there were people getting the same games for 6$ or even multi-accounters who create several accounts to take advantage of 1$ coupons I felt I was being scammed.
Recently I'd never buy a Choice unless I get a coupon - pretty much regardless of the games.

I have been a subscriber with choice since the beginning for most of time as an annual subscriber.
I have seen Humble reward new subs with some sort of carrot or people who play the "cancel" game get rewarded with coupons.
But I have never seen Humble say, "you guys who have been here with us since the beginning get some carrot."

Sadly that's the way it always works.
It would be really refreshing if for once a company rewarded their loyal customer instead of trying to attract new ones at penny prices. Maybe that shit worked before the internet but nowadays customers have all the tools at their hands for much more awareness.
Like for the first 6 months of consecutive subscription each month could give 3% reduction of the base price. (= 18% discount)
For the next 6 months every month could add an extra 2% reduction. (= additional 12% discount) Every additional month on top of that consecutive first year could grant 1% more reduction up to a maximum of ~ 40 maybe 45% from base price.
That would still bring in the same (or more) money than those 6$ (or 1$ for new subscribers) coupons and they could plan their revenue much more reliably without pissing off the people who actually spend money at Humble.
But maybe they need those big, inflated numbers for shareholder meetings or negotiations when trying to bring in new developers to participate 🤔

Can't remember last time I bought it for full price. It's either skipping bonus of $4 or coupon. But sometimes even $4 skipping bonus isn't enough to tempt me. Unfortunately the end is coming for choice - they have to at some point pull the plug. At east all the coupons IMO showed they are struggling with sales, but they have pulled through quite a long time despite that.

I've only played 3 hours of Steam games since last November. Other priorities and demands, and my gametime lately has been on the Switch. (Animal Crossing New Horizons and The Elder Scrolls: Blades) I have tons of amazing games in my backlog, and as awesome as Control looks, I don't know that I would prioritize it over some of the others.

That's a whole mood. I haven't had a proper PC to game with until September last year so my backlog is massive, but the Switch is also calling, and then there's IRL to contend with. Here's hoping you get to spend some gaming time as you please!

Batora: Lost Haven - gift link notification
Important: Batora: Lost Haven originally had no gift link notification, which according to Humble Bundle means that everyone received a ROW key. This could explain why it went out of stock so quickly. After it was restocked, LATAM and SEA customers reported that they receive region locked keys, which means that new purchases might get regional versions. Currently these regional subs are not yet indexed on SteamDB.

If you have redeemed the Control key from Choice (March 2021), you can activate the key from this bundle, EVEN IF YOU UPGRADED YOUR CHOICE VERSION WITH THE SEPARATELY SOLD DLCs.
This way, you can accidentally waste the key you receive from this bundle - sort of, read below.
Reason: they have different depots: Control Ultimate Edition has Control Content (870781), while the key from Choice has Control Standard Edition Content (870782)
The game build delivered in the proper Ultimate Edition is widely considered to be better (in terms of bugs/glitches) than the Standard Edition, even if one has purchased the DLCs for it.
To ensure that you have the actual Ultimate Edition content, you will have to FIRST remove the old Choice activation (sub/543422) and THEN redeem the key from this bundle. This way you can be sure that the Control Content (870781) is used instead of the the standard edition depot when you run the game.
