My first desktop that I owned had 1 GB Ram, Intel Pentium 1.8 ghz eDual, 160 GB HDD and Windows Vista. I begged my mom for an year to install a gig of RAM, but well, she just kept saying "She will" and it never happened. I spent hours online, including nights and day, which basically means like 19 hours a day for months to save enough money. Finally, I managed to save $400 and bought my current laptop. Its a 1.2 ghz dual core, 4 GB Ram, 320 GB HDD and Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

My first desktop was way worse than that. As long as i remember it had 198MB of ram available out of 300+, some computer techs tried "repairing" something in it and fucked up with the ram slots, which made the desktop slow as fuck... 128mb graphics card and internet cable, the only reasonable thing from back then was the internet, imo. Could also say that the computer was specifically rigged to play counter strike with the best settings at the time, i know this sounds retarded but CS was like an addiction around here to most of us, rofl.

Right now im using a crappy wireless internet, a laptop similiar to your desktop in specs, probably just better graphics card overall.
And yeah it can run skyrim on lowest settings, with some lag issues from time to time, guess i'm kinda lucky to still be able to play such games, since this gaming laptop was made in 2007/08, went through alot of issues with it, and it still lives today and manages to run most of the games at lowest settings, man i'm amazed. xD

That's a great computer man. I have 2 gb ram DDR2, 160 hard, 128mb graphics, 3ghz (not dual), and I play with a 15' color-blind tube.

hehe, my first computer was x386 and I'm not even that old - I'm 26 :) but after couple of years my mom bought a crazy awesome computer - not exactly sure but it had like 128MB RAM, 950MHz CPU, integrated graphics and audio (it could hardly run Mafia with lowest details - but it still did) :) and now I own laptop (for already 2 years) with 2,2 GHz Dual, 4GB RAM, 1GB ATI Radeon HD4650 and finally 320GB HDD + 1TB external HDD :) I think you can get something like this new for like $650 so start saving :)

First computer I actually bought was 4 years ago. Intel Q9300, Asus p5k mobo, 4GB ram, and a 9600GT g.card upgraded to GTX460
Still using the desktop but I really want to upgrade to a much newer system.

First computer I actually owned was an HP desktop. Intel celeron D 2.5ghz? 512MB ram later upgraded to 1gb. NO g.card *upgraded to a NVidia FX5500 128mb mem so I could play planeshift (MMORPG)

First computer USED old compaq 128mb ram, 10GB HDD, 800mhz processor.

Right now i'm slowly getting a new pc, have the gpu ready (GTX 580), RAM (G-skill 2x4GB RAM DDR3 1600MHZ), just got the case a couple of days ago (fractal design XL USB3 black, and the motherboard, an ASUS P8P67 Deluxe, and now i just gotta get myself a good CPU......
