So what do you think? And why do you do it or why you dont? :)
Bundle blocking is : blocking people from entering giveaways, who just gave away bundle games. A required CV over 30.01 does that.

I'm not sure what that means.

If you put 30.01 + CV on a giveaway to prevent people joining it who just gave bundle games away.

You mean blocking people from entering giveaways, who just gave away bundle games? Like you said, 30.01 does the trick.

im not sure about it but i would have to say that Carrot is the best answer to this question. I might reconsider after some well formulated arguments against said carrot.

I love entering for bundle games, since most bundles I only want like 1 game from anyway. And I like to give out the bundle games I will never use instead of just letting them rot on the key pages. I love bundle games, it would be sad to see them go. I just put high contributor values when I make giveaways, as high as I can...heh.

Well perhaps you should make it more clear. "Bundle blocking" can have more than 1 meaning.

EDIT: Thanks for clearing it up!

Nobody is blocking bundles. I'm absolutely for the current system, as it provides extra rewards for those who give away non-bundle games, and closes the door on a very easy route of C.V. exploitation.

Many people (myself included) give away spare bundle keys, knowing full well we won't get any CV for it.

The bottom line is, if you care about CV (and many clearly do), you'll eventually have to start giving away games that aren't bundle cast-offs.

I think he meant the 30.01 CV giveaways.

It is about people who uses more than 30.00 CV to prevent people entering their GA's who just gave bundled games. That what bundle blocking means.
EDIT: Your post still not fits the topic.

Oh ok. Perhaps it needs a bit more explanation in the opening post then :)

It's entirely up to the gifter. Their game, their money, their rules. If someone wants to give a game away, they should be able to give it to whoever they like, and if that means people who have contributed more than just bundle games, so be it.

There are always plenty of active giveaways on the site which require no contribution at all, and people's choices shouldn't be dictated by a whiny rump of users who, in the main, have contributed little or nothing to the site in terms of either giveaways or forum activity.

Go ahead and flame me....

If you don't want people who donated only bundle games to enter your giveaway, it's your giveaway, so you can decide who can enter and who can't, but I still think it's not a very nice thing to do, it's like treating them as if they are leechers and scum of the world when most of them (probably) don't have the luxury to simply buy games for others and resort to simply giveaway what they can which happen to be spares from bundle, and many of them also doing while knowing they won't get CV or anything for that and doing it for pure charity which is much better than many other people who just make giveaways to hoard CV and don't give a crap about giving to others.

But they just could buy fortix which isnt a big amount of money :D

You mean buy Fortix just so to pass the bundle boundary, wouldn't that giveaway be more for CV hoarding than pure charity?

EDIT: Button line, that bundle limit brings absolutely nothing good to the community. Only just a discriminating filter.

Yes. Even though i never gave away fortix but i have to say not one of the games that i gave away was for "pure" charity.

EDIT: You could say that it brings more non bundled giveaways.

Well, maybe not 100% "charity" but still more giving than a person who just do it for CV. Another note I could add is how it's funny that many people giving away games after hitting the bundle limit which is very nice and in return people use this bundle limit to purposely block them from giveaways.

EDIT: Well, if it just to pas the bundle limit it wouldn't be that many or anything that great.

Yeah thats right but you can get those bundle games very fast and easy through tremor games.

Still doesn't change the fact that giving away doesn't give any cv after 30$, so no matter how easy he got it it still would be charitable.

It would be good, because there are people that giveaway non bundled games but still has less than $30 CV

It's up to the giveaway creator. I don't mind it. I work with higher CV anyway because people who have been around the block respond faster and are generally easier to deal with.

I don't mind it at all (makes sense, really), but I do have a problem with the overzealousness of some people for labeling any damned thing that happens to go on sale for a day or three as a "bundle game," so it gets devalued. Thanks to one-offs, weekly sales, and other similar events, the line between actual bundle games (which are typically low-dollar offerings anyway) and truly good games (which are often more pricey, but not always) has become really hard to see and easily stepped over.
