As many people here, I use a fake U.S. address for my digital purchases on Amazon, no problem.
Some people reported it did come back and bit them in the ass when they contacted Amazon support for a random reason (they got spotted and lost their ability to purchses digital goods).

No. I have only one account, with two addresses. When I go to amazon it shows my "real" purchased goods, and when I need to access my digital purchases, or make new ones, I go to amazon.com, use the same credentials to connect, and then I can access the keys I bought and buy new ones.

Thanks. Did they lose their ability to purchase digital goods at all or only in the US store?

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, digital goods are only sold on the U.S. store, no ? Isn't that why you want an U.S. address ? I apologize if there's something I'm missing.

Well, I can also buy (some) digital stuff in my local amazon store. The reason for US address: got an app in my local amazon store, got a mail saying I got $1 credit to use in the Amazon MP3... which can be used only in the US. Got annoyed. XD

Ah, I see. I don't think I can buy digital from my local store. Anyway, I don't remember how it came back to bite them, but as far as I remember they only lost the benefit of their fake address...
You're gonna have to do some research (hint : the story I read was just here, on SG forums, so the search function or keeping your thread visible might pay off...)

Thanks, but doesn't Borderlinx give you a shipping adress and not a billing one?

I know, it just annoys me. Maybe I'll change my mind when I get back from work. XD

I once found a site that offers US billing addresses for non-US residents to use for purchasing on sites like Amazon....they charge some kind of fee to re-direct your packages to your non-US address but they can also be used to purchase digital goods...as I discovered when I wanted to buy a US PSN Wallet code so I could buy Hotline Miami 2...

Find a street name and number that exist in California (no tax on internet goods) and voila buy digital goods works like a charm.

Well, got an email today: "As a purchaser of a select app from the Amazon Appstore you have earned a $1 credit valid towards Amazon MP3 albums or single songs at http://www.amazon.com/mp3. Limit one promotional credit per customer. For redemption instructions and additional information, click here http://www.amazon.com/mp3redeem. Amazon MP3 music is available to customers located in and with billing addresses in the United States. " Makes sense.-.- Could it be circumvented? Do they really care if you input wrong info? Can it "come bite you in the ...", eventually? I know it's just 1$, but it still annoys me a lot that they give me credit I can't even use.
