I don't remember expecting a Steam key when I bought the bundle. Figured only the kickstarter backers would be getting a free copy.

That is hardly news. They said from the beggining that it was the old version and that they wouldnt provide keys for the new one. And that is fine on my book. It wasn't one of the main games in the bundle, but a bonus.

This was known for ages. This was known while the bundle was still running.
