Even that way is really sad. Once i've been suspended for "begging" (which i never did in my whole life) because i commented in a giveaway recommending something to the giveaway creator (which wasn't begging AT ALL).

But don't you think 14 days are just ridiculous? It's not like he was scamming someone or doing something terribly bad to the community that he deserves to get banned half a month from this site.
I'm just curious if there's any guideline CG set out for Mods regarding suspension, or at least something commonly agreed among you guys. Or is it just whoever has a bad day that day, and just go hammering on some people, making some very questionable, unreasonable decisions. (To be clear, not directed at you at all, I do agree your decision in closing the other 'regret' threads, it got annoying fast!)

We have various categories for suspensions, each with their own set times. Spam has three options: 3 days, 14 days or permanent. We can put on as many as we want (for instance, I once gave someone an entire month's suspension for spam) but it has to be those times. The suspending moderator presumbably thought that it was cause enough for the medium suspension time.
