[PS VITA] Is there a way to play Via with a controler?

Hey
Few days ago I was wondering, if there is a way to play PS Vita with a controler. I know, idea might be stupid, but I wanted to play P4G on it without taking it into the tub and connected my gamepad with it and it has not worked.

Is there a way to play PS Vita with a controler? I know that I can use it AS a controler but I don't know it WITH.
