If you have to purchase it, then it's not Free-to-Play. Free-to-Play means you don't have to pay any money at all in order to play.

But once you bought it, it's free to play. If it would not be, you would have to pay some subcribtion of sorts. :P

hasnt always been F2P and theirs some benfit from getting a serial for TF2 either from back when it wasnt f2p or buying the orange box iirc its more inventory space you get but seen as my brief dalliance lasted about 2 hours playing TF2 and my sucking made me uninstall it i cant swear their arent other benefits
