It's totally surprising, but it looks like G2A is trying to go more legit. They were able to get few publishers and create bundle a'la Humble Monthly.

February G2A Deal will have Superhot, Lords of the Fallen and Dirt3 and something more.

"February G2A Deal’s subscription price is only €1.50 for five wonderful games. And if you don’t want to subscribe just yet, you will always be able to test the waters with a one-time purchase for €2.50. And it goes live this Friday"
"
"Each Deal is created in close cooperation with game developers and publishers to make sure every gamer is satisfied with every pack, every month. All the keys are Steam-activated and acquired directly from developers to remove any unnecessary steps between you and your games."

Dirt 3 smells fishy (as it was removed from Steam, but maybe it was just Codemasters not wanting old game to take the spotlight from new titles?), but still, when tommorow there will be massive wave of Dirt-y Lords of the Superhot Fallen, you'll know who to blame.

Edit: Last two games are Syberia and Syberia 2.
"And when the time is right (between 12:00 – 20:00 CET (UTC+1) | 7 PM – 3AM PST (UTC+8)), we will be the first ones to give you a direct link, right here in this post. You will be just ONE CLICK AWAY FROM G2A DEAL"

Edit2: I think they screwed up times, why would they write "Deal will happen around afternoon in Europe which will be Night for America"?
Unless I missed the info Earth rotates in opposite way, so sun "travels" from west to east...

Edit3: "UPDATE

Due to technical problems we were unable to start the service at announced time. We are still working to deliver G2A Deal as fast as possible. We regret the inconvenience. Stay tuned."
So it begins...

Edit4: ALIVE
Worthy note: "You have to receive and activate those keys before 10th of April 2017. After this date, the keys will be deactivated. "

Edit5: G2A Deal's FAQ, thanks Rip777 for your comment.

Edit 6: Deal #2 to start on March 30th., games will be announced in next few days. Thanks Jaru93s. I plan to start new thread when full list of games will be announced (which shound happen before 29th, but who knows...), unless someone will decide to do it before me, no need to duplicate threads.

i would sell my soul for some cheap games is what most here think it seems. even if they were giving them for free i wouldnt take them.
What really surprises me is that so many doubt its legit. it doesnt make a difference if its legit or not. If you buy it you support them in any way

It is one thing to support a shady company when it makes an actual attempt at going legit and abiding the usual market rules, and one thing supporting them thinking they are going legit but instead doing even shadier shit. This is why skeptics like me are confused now of what to think.

If G2A is in fact working with the devs then it very well could be a legit bundle to consider.

If VM sold cars that were stolen then yes. Obviously it's more complicated than that, though.

Bad analogy. Volkswagen's deal is more like what CAPCOM or UbiSoft pull sometimes with their customers. Or, maybe a more understandable parallel: the diesel fiasco = No Man's Sky in video game terms. G2A = your local used car dealership. They may be actually telling the truth with selling decent barely-used vehicles, but you may also find a bullet hole in your purchased car and a police warrant against it.

The Beetle? That's an urban legend, Hitler just told Porsche to design a really cheap car to mass-produce. The design was closer to an old Tatra. Hitler gave the order to create a car like that, but that was pretty much it. But there is even a theory that it was Porsche who convinced Hitler to make the car not the other way around.
At any rate, you are right that there were plenty of companies that collaborated or thrived and continued thriving on their orders from the Nazis. Including a company that produces life-saving medicine. :)

Not the same parallel. To work, you'd need G2A to be sanctioned financed by some questionable government. If you want to compare it, compare it to early 20th century Ford: a company that got famous with its cheap products, but how those products got to the market was questionable in ethics to say the least. Still didn't stop people from throwing lots of money at it.

There is a lot of hate towards g2a on the web and I think its partially the reason why.

There is no question that their business model is sketchy, but they are not alone as there are tons of grey market sites out there. They just happen to be more successful. Personally I don't care either way, if one chooses to risk buying keys in the grey market its their choice and I don't blame g2a for facilitating the means to do so, mainly because their platform can be (and I believe is) used for legitimate sales. I could open an account and start selling my extra keys there (instead of giving them away !) and there would be nothing shady on my part. In many ways I don't see how g2a could check to see if what is being sold is stolen or not, this is something that falls under the purview of other organizations. Since stolen keys can be revoked at any time, one would think that would not be a problem at the end of the day. The whole story with devolver digital is a peculiar one, and here is where g2a could become shady, as long as they didn't know those keys were stolen I don't see how it would be their fault, however the moment they were informed they should have had some means to deal with it. Its like blaming someone for reselling something they bought in a yard sale that they didn't know was stolen. At the end of the day you might still end up being responsible for the sale, but (in my opinion) ethically most people wont condemn you.

G2A has portrayed some shady practices in other areas as well - their g2a shield thingy has drawn ire from many, mostly because it tries to trick you into activating it and also because it makes you go through many hoops if you try to deactivate it.

I think with g2a the case is that that people who are unhappy with it are very vocal about it and people who are ok with it are usually not willing to admit it.

Personally I don't have a problem with the grey markets - I actually don't use them because the available bundles each month are so many that cover my needs, but I would not have a problem with it. As long as the keys are not stolen I don't have any problem with people selling them on g2a or anywhere else.

For me its very similar to the following : I have a Nintendo wii (this is years ago, though I still have it) and I wanted to buy a few extra controllers. I went to the store here (Greece) and the price was crazy per controller, so I didn't. After a few days I was browsing ebay and decided to search for used controllers, instead I found people selling new ones (unbranded) that were being sold at almost 1/10 of the retail price and I bought four of them. The controllers work perfectly and actually seem to be identical to the original ones, without the brand stamp (even though the place holder for the brand is there). Now, this could easily be classified as a grey market good, but for the end user (me) I think it was a good deal (with some risks involved of course), if being ok with transaction makes me a bad person then ok so be it.

I can understand people not supporting g2a but in my view the reality of the global internet market is such that these types of markets are here to stay and I don't think it should fall on the consumer to regulate or police them.

You don't even have to go that far back, just consider how many of our athletic wear are made in countries with near slave like working conditions or the use of child labor, personally those bother me more than g2a (except for knowingly allowing the sale of stolen goods that is).

Future Deals may come at different prices, but always attractive, and truly worth calling them a Deal.

Nah, they actually list Superhot on reveal list for tomorrows bundle:

Apparently they've been revealing one a day for this week.

Also it won't be 1.5€, 2.5€ for single, 1.5€ in subscription.

Could be loss bait to get people do long time subs. Who knows.

that got me confused first ... but the way its written is weird and not meant to be clear - in addition it is posted only as a blog post
which is my book shit-posting-dream-journal-tier esp. as g2a, sent no mail offer nor features it on their main site - as you said bait

That is not fishy at all.

G2A apparently isn't just about a game market anymore. They have a news page now that covers reviews, videos, Esports, and previews. Plus they are working with some devs and publishers.

Really? If this is legit, I feel Humblebundle's monthly deal will have some major competition, especially if G2A can manage to consistently provide decent games like this current lineup. For less than $15 USD a year, that's 60 games that are directly provided by the devs. Even if they are all crap indie games after this one, the cards alone will probably make it worth it (assume each game gives you 3 cards, worth 5 cents, that's $9 back, meaning you're really paying less than half).

I might actually subscribe to this, if there are no hidden fees or any crap like that.

I mean without doubt there's legit keys sold on G2A, that's not the problem, the problem is those keys that aren't.

Myself I'm more concerned about G2A shitty practices (hidden fees, shield, etc.).

I love how they let choose your country for "vat/tax pay". Guess if they will or keep it themselves?

They don't even list their VAT ID on their site and not to mention that VAT regulations specifically forbid trusting user.
