Heres the twitter update

It’s most likely going to be announced next week, and if not, it will be probably be announced at E3 this year. I didn’t see any information on if it’s going to be included in Game Pass, but will probably get that info when it’s announced. This is huge news for the gaming community, because Halo MCC coming to PC bodes well for future releases also coming to PC.

For reference, Halo Master Chief Collection includes:
Halo 1: Combat Evolved Anniversary
Halo 2: Anniversary
Halo 3
Halo 4
Halo: Reach (PC)
:)

Update 3/12: It's been announced and is confirmed for a Steam release! :D

Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC Announcement
Steam store page
Xbox news article

The Master Chief’s arrival on PC will happen in stages with each title releasing one by one over time -– giving the development teams the ability to ensure each one is right, while giving players a chance to jump in right away, rather than having to wait for the entire suite of games to be completed. Our current plan is for this journey to begin with the launch of Halo: Reach – the fictional beginnings of Master Chief’s saga – with the rest of the titles following in chronological order thereafter. Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST (Campaign), and Halo 4 will each be available for individual purchase within MCC as they become available. And each game will evolve and grow over time with community input.

I’m Impartial.

Windows store only, or steam will make or break it for me.

Well, it's MS, so likely will be Windows store for starters, though they've slowly been putting their titles on Steam.

That wasn't meant to mock you, as you seem to think. I just wanted to give you the information in case you were interested. Guess not.

How can you be impartial? You're either hyped or you're not, it's a plain yes or no question.

At least it didn't say "potato", as other much less intelligent people might have used as an option instead.

Your "NO!" is emphasized, clearly indicating opposition. "I'm impartialindifferent" indicates someone who couldn't be bothered to give hype for the matter any meaningful consideration, thus serving adequately as a neutral option. There's nothing confusing about your poll options, as far as the selection of choices go. So no need to worry over that.

However, "indifferent" was likely the word you intended in place of impartial. Indifferent, as I detailed above, would be a lack of investment, while impartial would indicate that you're viewing all options fairly and without bias. Which, while not necessarily invalid (the poll option could perhaps serve as a niche for those waiting to see how well the ports are handled before passing judgment, for example), it does come across a bit peculiar, and doesn't well function as a generalized neutral alternative to the yes/no question.

:P

You can't be indifferent.. indifference in this case means you're not hyped.

Never going to use a windows store account, but, if it comes to Steam, I'd love to replay Halo 1. Don't really care for the rest.

This has me so excited but so conflicted. I've wanted this to happen for so long but I've also been playing Halo Online obsessively since 2016 and don't know if I can break up with her. The small tight-knit community I've grown accustomed to or the massive one, the vastly superior forge / custom game options or the ability to finally play as an elite again...it'll be a day one purchase for me either way

No, absolutely not hyped. I played through the MCC with a friend of mine on the Xbox One 2 years ago or so, it was an absolute mess.
The library is one of the worst game designs I have ever witnessed in a game, so no for me. :D

No (with only capital N). Might pick it up on the cheap one day to +1 the collection but I've lived those games many times already.

I played through Halo 1 and it was one of the most boring FPS games I've played among games with a significant budget. It's mostly running through identical looking blue and purple hallways. I never understood why this series took off.

Ditto. It also helped make FPS worse as a whole. Halo made two weapon limit and regenerating shields into popular mechanics.

Was pretty bad. I played through them all a couple of months ago though and the campaigns at least seemed to be pretty much fine. Can't really comment on the multiplayer though.

I still want some of the Rare games on PC, like Kameo: Elements of Power, or the three Banjo Kazooie games. Heard good things about the Viva Piñata games too.

I wish they'd make more games like Kameo, Banjo Kazooie and especially Conker.

I've still got a physical copy of Viva Pinata for PC when it was originally released on GFWL. Don't see why they couldn't bring it to Steam or whatever. Same with most of Rare Replay come to think of it.

Looking forward to it. Although I played a bit of Halo 2 and more of Halo 3 at friend's houses, I never picked them up myself since they weren't on PC.

I played the first game completely through multiple times (beating every difficulty level), often had the soundtrack playing on my commute, and enjoyed Red vs Blue.

Pleasantly surprised that the Steam store page doesn't (so far...) suggest that Windows 10 is a requirement.

Never played any Halo games. Back when the first xbox came out, I had an old Pentium2 with 128MB ram and VodooBanshee / GF2... and went to college... and had almost no internet access or even a computer available... so when it got to PC - which I only found out today - I didn't play it... 34 years forward, I care not for Halo at all. Yay, more money saved for Borderlands 3.
