gta 5 transfer game file

i just got gta 5 on rockstar social club (not the steam version) and my internet is terrible, is it possible if i copy the game files from one of my friends which he has the steam version and put it onto my computer and log on with my own rockstar acount?so i wouldnt have to download 65gb which would take me like 5 days. because from my experience from far cry 3 you must login to steam to play farcry 3 since its an uplay games, is this the case to gta 5 as well?

yes, you can.. only the exes differ between RGSC and steam versions.

but steam version needs steam to run it, doesn't it?
can he run gta V without steam? if he can, that it's possible also to log in with own account.

he'll only need to copy all files, delete the exes, and let the RGSC client download the last few MB.. login comes after that anyway

I'm not sure of steam version... probably not.
If you get rockstar social club version it would rather work, as you need to login with own account anyway.
