Hey everyone. I was watching The Mandalorian for the first time today, and although I really enjoyed it, I thought, wouldn't it be nice to know the context of everything? I have never seen anything Star Wars related before, and I think it's better late than never to jump on this 46-year-old bandwagon.

I'm in a unique position where I could watch everything in the order it was released. Or I could experience everything in chronological order and see the saga unfold as one cohesive story. I thought it would be fun to make a poll and give out some games for the Star Wars fans! All the ga's are lvl 3!

Jedi Fallen Order
Knights of the Old Republic
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Thank you ahead of time and I hope everyone is having a good day! May the force be with you (or something like that)

edit: Someone suggested I update everyone as I watch the movies. This sounds like fun so I'll probably make a new thread and create a giveaway for every movie/show watched. So far it seems Release Order is the most popular opinion followed by the Machete order, which I didn't even know about! I'll probably watch everything in release order and let you know how I feel!

In which way should I watch the Star Wars franchise for the first time?

Congrats! on both avoiding it somehow for so long as well as not being too proud to start!

I think [edit] I'd [/edit] recommend release order for [edit] the main films [/edit].

I've long been curious about what it would be like to experience the films all in chronological order, but the strength of the originals and their iconic moments will allow you to participate in any Star Wars conversations earlier, before you start feeling like there's just too much to take in and you need a break.

I wouldn't bother at this point. The last good movie came out in 1983,the tv shows are souless 'content'. Honestly the video games are more consistent than the cinematic part of SW.
