[Complaint] I'm fundamentally opposed to "bundle sites" that do not have agreements with the developers and just re-sell keys they get cheap or free for a profit.

Buy keys for maybe only ~0.8€ (IDK if they pay any fees, or taxes, or... & IDK what they paid), then sell for >3.5€.
That might even beat DIG for profit ratio.

I guess they're trying to be a new unlicensed bundle site, just like 90% of DIG.

Sorry if I sound dumb, but what does unlicensed mean?

They are not authorized by the developers to sell / bundle these keys. They don't have any contracts with the developers / publishers.
100% of their sales go into their pockets, 0% goes to the developers / publishers.

Okay thanks! Never got anything from DIG, not sure how these websites can exist when they basically are selling something they are not 'allowed' to sell?

Think of you opening a bundle store from having so many keys even though you're not working directly with developers, it's not illegal to do so but it's obviously shady af as you would need to get them from somewhere while making a proffit.

I never understand this mentality of assumed automatism.
(Re-)selling physical products is totally normal, but when it is a digital key it's suddenly "obviously shady".

Big (game-)industry propaganda has ingrained too many people...
The same morons that wanted to outlaw used-disc sales (mainly on consoles, as on PC they have basically already succeeded.)

well, CD-keys are not physical
so no way to inspect them or make sure they are in working "condition", and makers of said keys can claim theft and revoke them.
so its shady, not because of the reseller but rather the lack of physicality of the product.
same can be said about Steam and other authorized key sellers. but they guarantee a working key within the terms and condition
but yeah i would love to re-sell some steam games i dont need.

Oh yes, reselling or even just giving away some games I have on Steam would be awesome!
I try to only own games I like but sometimes mistakes were made and now I asked Steam to remove them but would rather be able to give them away or whatever!

Reselling physical products is perfectly normal. But if you're buying them at a steep discount from some guy in a back alley who has a whole truck full of them, a reasonable person would question the legitimacy of his source. Buyers have been arrested for such negligent transactions.
Likewise when you have a new site out of nowhere who can suddenly afford to sell bundles of games below retail price, but doesn't have any wholesale distribution agreements with the publishers that would support this sales model, then again a reasonable person must question its legitimacy, if not legally then morally.

In this case, if it's true about the keys coming from somewhere like Kinguin, then what we're really looking at is another step removed, someone who went to several back alleys to bulk-buy a whole bunch of dodgy TVs, speakers and DVD players and is now selling them to unwitting consumers as "home entertainment bundles" in a pop-up store to appear more legitimate.

This isn't really one person selling a second-hand game or an unused key they got as a birthday present like you're making it out to be. It's a commercial operation dealing with bulk keys of questionable source. At best they are going to be grey-market; buying cheap keys from other regions to resell to ignorant buyers who don't know any better. That's morally problematic enough as is, exploiting the loophole of regional pricing on digital goods that allows citizens of countries with a lower standard of living the chance to afford some luxury entertainment. There's a reason why online platforms usually implement geoblocks or forbid such behaviour in their ToS.

Often it's worse than that, with keys being obtained from mass bundle purchases; giveaways entered by bots (depriving regular users of a fair chance); or outright stolen via malware, hacked databases, credit card fraud or other illicit activities.

The problem here is that without a legit distribution agreement with the game publishers, the keys for these bundles could come from anywhere and we don't really have any way of knowing. Of course the harsh reality is that the vast majority of keys like this are not from ethical or legal sources. Now maybe some people are indifferent and don't really care where the keys came from; up until they have fits of rage because their account got suspended/banned for breaching ToS, their key was revoked or didn't even register in the first place, and they put all the blame on the store platform or the game dev/publisher instead of the shady seller they chose to buy dodgy keys from.

All of this has happened before, and a lot of times it has had negative consequences for the developers; from negative publicity to review-bombing to loss of sales to going into debt from credit card chargeback fees. None of it has anything to do with your views on whether or not consumers should have the right to resell licences for digital products, so stop conflating the two.

100% of their sales go into their pockets, 0% goes to the developers / publishers.

That's plain wrong, not authorized != stolen.

The intermediate place where they source their keys from, whether a bundle or other key-shop, pays the devs.

The HitSquad is very bad.
So i expect nothing good from such a "store".

Or with other words, i hope the publishers and dev close the doors of this shop very fast.

They've been dragging people into their Steam groups & curators (yes, plural - all the same "squad") with game giveaways from lovely "devs" such as Digital Homicide, and totally-worth-it tasks like watching 10+ minutes of their streams for delisted games (again, like delisted as in Steam booted them off the platform, not delisted as in licensing issues)... if this says anything about their ethics lol.

The last (only?) time The Window Box was in a bundle I ended up being interested in playing it, I was hoping on winning it but with no luck. Then I thought that it felt like a game that would get bundled often, also no. And now because of this bundle I checked on ggdeals and saw that it's selling for pretty much nothing :S

Why would I get this shady bundle if I barely have to pay anything for the games I want on other shady sites?

These games seem to be selling for about 30-50 cents each on the gray market so he is not making much unless he got a nice bulk discount. Doesn't make the bundle any better of course.

When bought in bulk like they do, they're much cheaper than that - 10 cents, some even less.

web121872 (dot) wixsite (dot) com ?

Not bothering to register even a cheap domain puts this about at the same level as hawkers peddling fake goods, ready to take off as soon as the polis shows up.

I doubt I'd put this shoulder to shoulder with other bundles, as it would be a disservice to those who run a legit business, with all that which it entails, not to mention the audience.

probably they are partners with that shady 'free' key site with that dumb extension that makes you subscribe to youtube channels and join steam groups or some gleam giveaways

They are doing gleam giveaways mostly. People just don't know which tasks they don't actually have to complete. Steam curator, youtube and Facebook tasks can be done on gleam without actually subscribing as they have no way of tracking it.
