Which has better graphics and games, I don't travel. I just stay home. But the main question is: which one has better graphics?

So... you prefer graphics instead of good games huh?

Well, PS2 got both better graphics and better games, so there's that.

The PS2 does tend to have higher resolution games (except for a few titles which use a low resolution, several of those were originally made for PS1 though). It also has a superior library.

Both systems have enjoyable games though.

Both are more or less the same with graphics depending on the game as far as I can think, with the later ps2 games being better obviously since it's a console rather than a handheld. Both have great games. I'd go for the ps2 in this case.

ps2. You could get later gen console if you are so concerned over graphic.

Well, I think the thing to be considered is mobility... even if it means laying on the couch or in bed playing games... personal stuff... camping, etc. Not to mention the PSP can emulate NES, Master System, Genesis, SNES (most games), perfectly, as well as doing a decent job with PSX, and the ability to watch movies. Graphics are not the most important thing in a device imo, but the quality and mass of games.

That said, the PS2 does have a great library.

Come to think of it, last I checked the 3000 could not do all that, only the 1000 and 2000. Hopefully that has changed, it has been a few years. My 1000's are still going strong, so I have had no need to look into any of this 2009 or 2010.

there is no way to permahack the newer 2k and 3k models, but it just works fine with a temporary cfw, so you can do everything you could do with the 1k. The display is even better and its said there is less or no ghosting while emulating games wtih the 3k.

psp is equivalent to a sega dreamcast so ps2 has better graphics

I used to have both, except that my psp was 200x which I consider to be better. I can say that ps2 has better games AND better graphics while actually both of those consoles are outdated. I recommend you to wait until ps4 becomes available. It will mean that ps3 price will significantly drop and then you could get it almost as cheap as ps2 now.

This is the most reasonable choice. :)

The choice is reasonable, but to be honest, why care about it being outdated? It's the games that count, and PS2 has a lot of great ones. I'm waiting for PS3 price drop too, but I think OP should buy PS2. PS3 can wait.

Ps2 if you want a better game selection.

Only get a PSP if you want it for travel use.

So you're like my personality mostly. I would recommend the PS2 for you, cause the PSP is only for when you travel alot.

I recommend PS2. It has so many great games it's hard to count them. It has better graphics too. Just look at Metal Gear Solid 3.
PSP has nice games too, but much less than PS2's library.
I have both and I prefer PS2 much more.
