If such a day should be in danger of passing, I'll bravely step in and post a random, useless post about CV stuff just to make sure the world doesn't end ;)

the CV you have for takedown red sabre is still much higher than what you most likely paid for it, so i really don't how you could complain about that. ;)
and it's not like you constantly lose 50% of your CV every week. price reduction happen only occasionally. if you gave away a good amount of games, you keep your CV more or less. it's not a big difference, if you drop from 350$ to 330$ after some months...

A support member once explained to me why they consider it unfeasable to "freeze" the value of a game at the time it was given away. I still believe it's doable, even if it'd take some work, and I believe it would be fair.
Bringing the price drop -> CV drop logic to the extreme, games should also be retroactively included in the bundle list, with the CV value dropping accordingly.

The wanted games are mostly AAA games.
AAA games mostly give you more CV since they are expensive (and most likely not bundled....yet).
You can have your own opinion on which game is good or bad. You cannot however, decide which games are wanted or not.
So, in other words, your argument is invalid.

His argument is not invalid, and that is not his wanted list. That is a list made by the steamgifts site with info gathered from peoples profile when syncing, it shows the games that are on the most people's wishlists. He is not saying he should decide which games are wanted or not and he is not suggesting anyone should. The list he linked to is a culmination of all steamgift users' wishlists who synced their profile, so the games listed there are indeed the most wanted games.

1.- never said that was HIS wanted list. I know that is the list of games on people's wishlist. So yeah, mostly AAA games <----Same shit i said.
2.- "He is not saying he should decide which games are wanted or not and he is not suggesting anyone should"
"Gifting those games would give more contributor points that unwanted games such as bad rats" <--- Im pretty sure he is. At least he is highly suggesting it.

Wait....what?
CV doesn't stand for cookie value? Why have I been baking for 2 years straight?!

CV = Useless.
I don't care about it and neither should anybody. Let's just give for the sake of giving. :D

Right now the contributor system is flawed.
The concept of a contributor system where people decide who can enter by CV is flawed. No tweaks will make it perfect. It will inherently feel unfair to some, be gamed by some, but will ultimately achieve what it's meant for, encouraging more giveaways.
Giving more CV for wishlist games might result in more giveaways of these games, or it might not. It just won't make the system less flawed or more just.

I think your talking nonsense people give, what they can afford to give and sometimes there are good deals that they want to jump on that happen to boost CV and maybe some people want some of these games that are given alot and im fine with the current system

Right now the contributor system is flawed. People can get cheap gifts, or games that are often -90%, and use it to boost their contributor value.
What I think would be better is to reward people for gifting WANTED games. Yes, these games :
http://www.steamgifts.com/wishlist
Gifting those games would give more contributor points that unwanted games such as bad rats mhich is often at -90% nowadays.
