So I just got into steam trading cards last night. Im looking to trade cards for sets I've already finished for other types of cards. However, it seems to much of a hassle to add someone just to trade like 2-3 cards... does anyone know if theres an easier way to trade cards?

That one is good.

This one will pair you up with people for 1:1 same game trades http://www.steamtradematcher.com/

No need to add anybody.

Have you tried searching the Steam Groups? There is an official card trading group in there somewhere. (I think)

And there is that, as posted by BongoGT

There's also SteamTradeMatcher.com which you can use to scan your entire inventory for duplicate cards/backgrounds/emotes for cards/bg/emotes that you don't have but other people have dupes of. Also you can set it so others can publicly search you and send you invites to trade so you don't have to do all the searching. Only problem is, I think it might be not as active as I would like it to be

^ What BongoGT said.

Alternatively, you could use SteamTradeMatcher

Buy them from the Steam Community Market. That's the easiest and quickest way to do this.

Thanks for the info guys. I've been using the steamcardexchange, but since the bot only holds limited its hard for me to buy sets of cards.

I use a combination of steamcardexchange and steamtradematcher.

Well if neither of the websites suggested work out, I usually just post a thread in the trade section of the game which has the cards I want. Asking 1:1 and usually get a trade offer within the day (usually pretty quick, 1 hour or so). Thats more so trading within the set (any doubles you have) but you can find some people looking for other cards too.
