just how many people wants to create fakes only to disappoint other? this is no joke, i say. when steamgift admin bans your steamgift account which is linked to your steam account, you won't be able to recreate another account.

and here's another trivia...

creating multiple steam account is not going to get you more free games. any games sent to your steam account is lock in your account. you cant move it

We can't tell if you're wrong because you weren't able to convey your point in a coherent matter. Which is probably just due to a language barrier :(

oh, ok

i'm talking about people creating fake giveaways, a giveaway of a game you dont own in your inventory

and when your steamgift account is locked, you cant create another account, because your steam account is locked to the banned steamgift account

I tend to giveaway keys more often than not, so it is hard to tell if it is fake. Besides getting banned for multiple accounts isn't impossible, because it isn't impossible to create them. The real question is why bother? I have a hard enough time spending points on one account. Also more accounts could equal more free games since you could have more chances to win. Only problem is you would get banned, and it would just be a douchey thing to do. I have one Steamgifts account, but two Steam accounts since I forgot I had one and created a new one. I just play games on each account.

PS: I am not endorsing creating multiple accounts.

Reply PS: Yes, I know you're not.

yes, i know giving away keys is hard to tell, but fake giveaways have:
1) no description
2) VERY recent user registration
3) VERY expensive game giveaways

Based on these three, i bet everyone can tell it's a fake.

Based upon that information they create not to disappoint, but because they think they will win that gift.

If I'm not mistaken, any gift sent to a Steam account can be stored in the account gift inventory. Which then, can be sent to another steam account.

any gift sent to your steam account will go into your library, unless you have that game, then it will go into your inventory. if the game is sent to your email address then you have the option of choosing where it goes

but here, in steamgift, they wont allow you to enter giveaways for games you own.

You actually have to chose to add it to your library and not inventory.

that's my point
gifts from one steam account to another will send it directly into the game library
if gifts are sent to the person's email, thats different

Wrong again. If you are sent a gift directly through Steam you have the option to accept the gift and add it to your inventory. I do this to send games between my wife and I when I buy from the Steam store.

funny, because i sent a DOTA 2 to my friend who doesn't own the game, it directly went into his library with no option to choose...

There is a small grey link after you click accept. It is under the add to library button.

PS. I am only trying to inform you and not be an ass btw.

I use that feature to hide birthday and Christmas gifts. I hide them on my wife's account till I send them to family or friends.

Are you talking about cancelling giveaways? Why is every one so mad, is this usual or ? ...

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

cancelling is common when you made a mistake... but giveaway with no description, then cancelling the very last minute before it ends? very highly suspicious.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

The cancelling could be due to mods, website screw-ups like Gamersgate recent screw-up, or the gifter realizing that they don't get the game or that the site doesn't provide the game also.
