I want to buy a diy arcade kit (i am too clumsy to make one) anyway i found some that says supported: Raspberry Pi B+ /2B / 3B / 3B+
While offcourse a Raspberry Pi 4 is better, however i have no idea if that's for show (or not updated) or it really can't work for whatever reason.

Both have the same Extended 40-pin GPIO header, but the input power has a 0,5 V difference, so should it be safe that it can support Raspberry 4 too if it does 3?

Or get a raspberry pi 4 controller? No idea how it works.

The arcade kit says the mounting design is compatible with those versions of the Pi. So to support a 4, the 4's mounting screw holes would have to have the same relative spacing, and the 4's board couldn't extend the edges of the board beyond the other board's footprints. The 4 is bigger than the 3+, so I wouldn't try this. Also, the 4 has a different layout for its USB and Ethernet ports, so the ports wouldn't match up with the cabinet's holes.

In addition to all of this, you'd also have to verify that the software will work on a 4. If it hasn't yet been ported, and you don't know how to do a port yourself, I wouldn't try it.

Thank you, yeah didnt even think about the spacing of the usb, will get the kit and stick to raspberry 3b+ then for the time being, should be enough.
