I'm biased I guess since I've rewatched seasons 1-3 six times and rewatched season 4 once already I love it.
I also love the books. Yes there are certain things that bother me with the show now, but it's not because of boring dialogue or plot it's because they've completely changed certain book characters. I've gotten my entire family to watch it and three doctors (I go to the hospital a lot..) and they all love it too. Personal preference I guess.
p.s. I read the books AFTER I started the show and had no problem following along.

Havent watched it, not gonna start anytime soon.

If you actually judge any series by the first 2 episodes, you shouldn't really watch anything.

I'm not a diehard GoT fan but I really think it is the best show out there for now.You'll miss that first episodes so damn much, you'll understand the deep meanings in those dialogues.

I dont get the fascination with it. Ive seen a little and that was enough for me. My wife wants to watch it so I guess I'm gonna have to give it another go.

It's pretty boring the first season,but after that,it gets real good! By the way,of course there is going to be some dialogue you don't get. There's already been a whole universe before the show,read the books.

I don't know. I never watched more than 5 minutes, but due to internet I know many characters and who killed who and stuff anyway, which I don't like. Mostly because I don't like hype in general.

In this case I'll act like the opposite of the hipster - I'll watch it just after last person on the whole planet stops giving a fuck about it and actually just enjoy the show.

Why the fuck would you care if it's overrated or not. If you like it, watch it, if not then move on and stop making stupid threads on steamgifts.

I really think you should watch a little more of the show :) I know you still might not liked it, but I rarely judge the show with just 2 episodes seen, and I think you should give it a chance :) (if I resign, it is usually after 5 - 6 episode - then I can be pretty sure the show is not for me).
