Specifically, the state of Victoria within Austrailia instead of the entire country. Though, no surprise if the national government gets involved cause it has spite for mature video games.

I remember back when we fought against the government trying to decide for us what should be in our video games.

Here comes the future of loot boxes and micro-transactions. Don't know, the leaked materials might be fake just to enrage consumers so they they might be prepared or take stance against the game corporations to implement such practices. But still no harm in knowing what might be the future of loot boxes and micro-transactions.

Leaked documents show the probable future of loot boxes and microtransactions

I don't know how this is going to affect me. Never cared for lootboxes or even in-game drop items likes skins and cosmetics. Well in a sense I never collect them I usually sell them once I get an item drop. But the personalized data collection and the personalized experiences (drops, ads, pricing schemes) thing is making me scared.

I expect consumer protection agencies won't let such unethical practices be implemented.. but we never know what might happen.

Thanks for the update. I also thought it might be fake and was created for the purpose of enraging gamer against micro-transactions.
