Saw beathazard on there. I've wanted it for a while..

So I jumped at it saying pay over 1$ for the steamkey, awesome I thought so I paid the extra to get the soundtrack etc..

Then to only find out, it's a DRM free version, no steamkey included ¬_¬

To make me more annoyed, I go to the "contact us" page to see this "A server error occurred. Please contact the administrator." HOW DO I CONTACT THE ADMINISTRATOR!! ARRGHH (Excessive caps lock there)

But yeah, rant over. Lols.

Aren't there In-game achievs for Beat Hazard, not on steam?

Next time you should check before you buy. This is the fault of you and not IG.

On the IG weekly site there's a clearly visible Steam icon near Beat Hazard...

I do apologise. I thought they were only selling the DRM-free version, and you were annoyed that you didn't get a Steam key.

Last year, I had an issue in the past on Indie Gala, and they were really fast to fix it using e-mails (sent/received/sent/received) in just a couple of hours. But early this year, I sent a simple question regarding a game in a bundle, and I never received a response... (:P)

What? I vividly recall the support replies someone screencaptured their email. Although it wasn't to resolve but punish.

I haven't really had a problem with their support the couple times I contacted them. Now it took a day or two, but I wouldn't call that slow service.

Or maybe I was just lucky.

I've barely seen any reports of them not responding.

I had an issue with a galastore key not coming (because they sold out of it but the site hadn't updated yet). Support got back to me right away and corrected the issue (getting the missing key) for me and subsequently updated the site to reflect that they no longer had that store bundle.

I'm not absolutely positive that IndieGala share the same support with GalaGiveaways, but if they do, this was one of my experiences with them.

Why the HELL do you want DRM?

I for myself prefer connecting the game with my Steam Account so:

  1. People can see when I'm playing this game and won't bother me while playing
  2. When I get a new PC or something I can easily install the game through Steam again and don't have to search for the download on their website.

These are my main reasons why I prefer Steam over DRM free.

(1) you can solve by just adding the game to Steam as a non-Steam game. There are still plenty of other reasons you might prefer Steam though, like tracking time played, achievements, and so on.

You number one reason is actually the main deterrent to a steam game for me. People see me playing and they interrupt me. I have to stay in offline mode to be able to play without interruption.

I usually play in offline mode too.

Does that make me a bad person?

damn, someone on STEAMgifts forum that is fighting for drm free =P
it dont bother me either way. i activate on steam/desura to keep em in one place and to remember i actually have them in the future, then download the drm free version if available. wish steam would allow what desura does, having standalone downloads on their website, best of both worlds!

Is it possible they just haven't added the Steam keys for it yet?

Aye. In my experience IndieGala usually takes about a day to get the steam keys working. The site says beat hazard/complete will have a steam key. Just wait a bit.
