Considering the amount of people that were interested in the past sales of Cyberlink software, I think it's useful to announce you that CyberLink Director Suite is currently free for 20 14 11 4 0 days on SharewareOnSale. Link here.

Its description states:

CyberLink Director Suite is a bundle of four software: PowerDirector 15, PhotoDirector 8 Deluxe, AudioDirector 7 and ColorDirector 5. The total value of all four software is $229.96.

License Note: This is a 1-computer lifetime license, for commercial or noncommercial use

Note: Make sure to be careful to only select the software in the installer and not the notification tool SharewareOnSale tries to give you too.

Includes:

  • CyberLink PowerDirector 15 (Lite)
  • CyberLink PhotoDirector 8 Deluxe
  • CyberLink AudioDirector 7 (Lite)
  • CyberLink ColorDirector 5 (Lite)

Hope you like it. You are welcome and have fun ;)

Check here for links to the offline installers.

Humor me you almighty blacklisters and let me know what makes you tick. At least I hope some people found this useful despite the hateful bastards out there. I know for sure this saved some people quite a few bucks they'd have spent on humble during next Cyberlink's software sale. Cheers.

I've had one of their giveaway licenses for a couple years and hasn't been revoked yet. I think it's for PowerDirector 13. I haven't had any issues with them so far but I'm not an avid user either.

Even if they happen to revoke them at some point you'll probably get them again a month later in another giveaway :). Their software is constantly given away in various combinations.

I prefer HitFillm Express. I don't know all their differences, but HFE has a lot more to it.

There are lots of options and most of them are free. But many people bought Cyberlink's software during the previous sales, hence my post to make people aware they can get the same software for free several times a year. Most of the time even if they're previous versions they do their job just fine and if not there are always alternative solutions.

The fact is many people bite the bullet when presented with incredible discounts from various sites for the same versions, when compared to their retail prices, while not knowing they get given away for free multiple times a year.

Sucks trying to download the software from them. They have their own installer and it wants to install it too. Can't just download it and hold it. Tried going to the Cyberlink site only to find the links for the higher versions.

Oh well, will just get it either way and hold it till I need it.

Edit: Nevermind

Thanks

"The downloads are exclusive SharewareOnSale installers"

Does anyone know if there's a way to download directly from Cyberlink (to avoid any add-ons that SharewareOnSale adds)? They give you keys you need to register anyhow, so I'd rather use a clean installer rather than a 3rd party one.

I went ahead and used their wrapper just to try. It didn't force me to install anything.

I clicked to download and install it, then it downloaded it but when it came to the install it prompted me and I told it do not install and save the installer.

They honestly could have just used a link to the installer, would have been easier.

I always decline their notification tool and save the installer in a chosen folder for later install if desired. I never installed most of the software I got from their site but I still have the offline installer and their license for later use. I recommend using the same approach.

What I have used before, I have gotten a few things from them in the past, but honestly, I can't recall a single thing I have used from them.

I guess I just horde them "Just in case".

This is common marketing from Cyberlink.
I've gotten and used their products from giveawayofthedaydotcom and see a free suite from Cyberlink at least once a year.
That site also uses an installer wrapper (spam generator) you have to be careful not to install.

Your getting older versions which typically can NOT be upgraded without loosing the licence and having it replaces with a trial version if you update.

Worth getting if you have use for the tools. Not worth getting if your just like to collect software.
Also no means of reinstalling the free version you installded, for free, if you don't clone your harddrives and have a crash.

I know nothing about the share site the OP links to.

SharewareOnSale is basically a website that links to outside giveaways making it look like its theirs and make you fill a form before you download it, and try to bait you into installng their "installer" as well.

They never hosted a giveaway on their own, its basically steal.

To be honest I have too much software that does the same thing or similar and too little time or initiative to look into it and explore the various possibilities. I'd never buy their software because I can find better for free with commercial license if I try. But, if their older version does the wanted thing I don't mind choosing simplicity over complexity when coming with a free price tag :)

Okay, it asks me for a product key upon launch, where do I get that?

In your email and on your download page.

So, I actually have to go through registry process? I just used one of those links provided above to dl the software.

Those are more for saving the installer for later usage. You still need the license and to get that you need to use a valid email on their site.

I tried PowerDirectr15 lite like a year ago when I needed replacement for crashy Pinnacle 18 (wasn't able to update and newer versions looked and behaved differently and so on)and after a day of testing got Ultimate on Steam. Now... Ultimate still shows ads for their other products and upgrades and stuff... which I don't like... but encoding video is FAST even in 4K so... It's a good app if you dedicate some time to learn it's mechanics (editing wise, encoding is easy).

Anyone knows if I have to install it while the promo lasts or I can save it for when I get a new computer? I would like to learn some editing, so free stuff seems the best, but it would be a waste to install it now, when I plan to get something new in a few months.

Theoretically yes, practically you can download the offline installers and keep the licenses for later and activate them on your new computer. If it works activating beyond the promotion, fine, if not then also fine. Another possibility is to use two different emails and have the software activate on your current computer while keeping a second set of licenses for the new computer when you get it. The link to the offline installers is in the main post. To get the licenses you still need to get the software from their site by using a valid email.

try this:
Start -> Run
type - regedit
(push enter)
position cursor on [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\CyberLink]
File -> Export
type name of your export file (MyLovelyFreeForCommercialUseCyberlinkProducts.reg) and save it.
copy and run this reg file on any computer you want ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
it works for me
