The game is supposed to be a free game. We are checking with tech this week and will make the changes if required. We are very sorry if this has caused some confusion. We will not be removing it aa a free game game once you downloaded was always the intention. If its set up as a free to play then this is an error we will adjust.

its some feature in the ASF program, adds the game or something, i dont know because its "so hard to use search fuction!" and its apparently harder to offer a helping hand and teach someone. thats to be expected these days though (wouldnt you know i already had them blacklisted? just goes to show the type of person)

Yeah, indeed. Mostly useful for people you have more than one account controlled by ASF because otherwise you might as well add it the normal way.

Never thought about that but it doesn't really apply for me anyway because since I started using 2FA I can only log in from my phone when I'm at home :D

really? Seems odd (unless you mean something else than 2FA incorporated into steam mobile app) - I have 2FA on for my steam client yet I use mobile app all the time, especially when I am not home ;p

Yeah, that's what I ment. At first I refused using Mobile Auth because I didn't like the way Valve went about introducing it and when I started using ASF I went with WinAuth instead.

well, in that case you wouldn't be able to use this method even if you didn't have 2FA at all ;) afaik you cannot use chat on smartphone without mobile app anyway, so how would you msg bot? ;p

because it's useful info regarding any game which is free on steam - it lets ASF users easilly add game to their alt accounts without logging into them or add game if you are away from your PC running ASF via simple message to bot over mobile client chat.

Sorry to necro this. Anyone knows a way to get the game permanently ie activate the package 190219 on my account? It's still there on SteamDB, it's still at "No Cost", but I don't know if I can redeem it in some way. I've tried this script:

I don't see it has changed on June 30. SteamDB still mention "No Cost" and in the history of 190219, the last time "billingtype" change was on June 27. Or maybe I'm missing an addon that let you see what you're talking about?
