I like this puzzle. However, it's not a very good one, since only programmers or super users have the tools to solve them. Doing the puzzle by hand is extremely time consuming, especially when you need to trial and error.

I chase the AHA, and any puzzlemaker that offers it is gleefully followed. For that reason, I am usually turned off by Jigidi's. A small Jigidi with a trick can be fun (I've used them twice in my own events). I thought that the jigsaw inherent in m3rc Puzzalphabet was quite wonderful. Nordhbane's puzzle agency was usually extremely clever and occasionally completely brilliant. I enjoy the big events. Some of the Puzzlemania events were great, and recently, I really enjoyed nickchanger's 18 carriage Train with three metapuzzles.

I have a small tolerance for quizzes of google-fu, but they are not puzzles. For example I much preferred Jeff's space cats to his food pyramid. I dislike any "guess what I am thinking puzzles." What I am looking for as a solver is even when I miss the puzzle completely, when I read the solution to say "Oh of course, how did I not see that." When I am constructing puzzles, I always aim for a similar facepalm moment (I do not always succeed, but I always try).

I don't think he's done any in awhile but I really enjoyed a lot of OnlyTwin's puzzles in the past.

Thanks for your puzzles, I really enjoy solving them, the only one I can't solve is compass, it just makes no sence to me... Personally my favourite puzzle-ish game is sudoku.

I'm getting older but I still remember quite a few exceptional puzzles out there :):

  1. A 5-year old puzzle by grego87. Was a bit simplified in the run. Cogs puzzle.
  2. Another 5-year old puzzle by Award. The shortest journey
  3. Duck puzzle from Mikalye's Just follow directions. The actual duck puzzle was like this.

I should point out that Mikalyes puzzle series are my favorite. Just type 'Mikalye' in the discussions search.

Also 'quick fixes' series from alamarjan would definitely crack your brain. Type 'quick fix' in the search bar.

Happy puzzle solving!
