WARNING: Origin disabled my legitimate SimCity key from Amazon and EA won't do anything about it.

EA disabling SimCity for some Amazon orders and claiming Amazon asked for chargebacks

According to many of the posts, they complained to Amazon, but did not initiate a chargeback. EA assumed any complaints to Amazon were chargebacks, and therefore closed accounts of many people who only complained and did not chargeback. This one looks like a big misunderstanding, not some EA conspiracy stuff.

Conspiracy? Maybe, maybe not. Incompetence? No doubt, and I believe if a company consistently makes incompetent decisions it should definitely not be rewarded (and thus signaled it is doing a good job), and probably should not exist at all.

Deiru is missing the part where EA not only locked people out of their game, but also starts banning any account that complains about the way they're handling it.
The way EA is acting reminds me of that Iraqi minister of information.

Why? Besides support taking a while(From what I hear, never had to use it) Steam is pretty nice...as far as DRM goes.

DRM I'm not going to disagree with, but their support is HORRIBLE. I've gotten more help from EA's support when a game didn't work than I ever got from Steam support.

If EA is to learn from only one of them, it should ALWAYS BE Amazon.

If they are going to do this kind of stupid DRM, i want them to have a GOOD LAUNCH. They should take a look at their preorders and make the servers atleast to be able to house 3-4 times the amount of preorders.
