Unexpected trade offer?

So uhm, this just happened... Trader had 9 +rep in his profile, 3 were from level 1-0 toons but he claimed to have +15 rep in his steam profile. He also had just +1rep in steamgifts. I never had someone up his previous offer out of nowhere! /s.

I wonder what one should do in such situation

If he / she is trading you a gift it could be one of those scam where the game will vanish from your library. I wouldn't risk.
