I've created an A-Z giveaway train.
They're just leftover keys I have had on a list for years and years so the occasional one might not work.
Apologies if that is the case.

Feel free to join it.
Thanks.

Are all your train giveaways public or is there an invite-only part?

They're public as I wanted to see what a public train would do.

I don't really understand what an invite only train achieves apart from limiting the number of entries to people who read this thread.

I get that people entering might not necessarily know it is a train, but they will if they read the comments won't they?

Some people dont read the comments, but if you just want to reach more people with your ga, yes, in my opinion, it is better to make them public :)

Hopefully I will get more people to see my comments if I make it public which is my main goal. Thanks Aqua :)

From my point of view there is no need (at least for me) to "ride" a public train as I just see the giveaways of the games I have not hidden on the main page.

Thanks for the giveaways :D

The invitational part is what makes the train a train.

There is an entry limiting effect achieved by putting access to your GAs via a thread, because the majority of SG users aren´t that active with the forums, but it doesn´t matter whether this is done for a single GA, a bunch, or a train. (as long as they are invitational)
There´s really no reason to ride a "train" with openly accessible GAs when I`m just a click away from your profile, where I can easily access all your current GAs unless they are invitational.
Further uses of the train technique might be to create labyrinths or dungeons for puzzle-events, or creating a multi-gifter train as currently demonstrated here. All of them rely heavily on the GAs being invite only.

Furthering your own agenda you might consider opening a thread in the User Projects sub-forum, where, iirc, introducing curators and the likes should go. Be careful about it though, because afaik according to SG rules promoting curators and groups has to be strictly separated with the exception of GA descriptions. This might reach a narrower but more attentive group of people, while openly accessible GAs tend to also attract all the auto-joiners & I just want a +1 accounts.

In anyway thank you for your generosity & all the best for your curator!
Hope the extra work you put in will still pay off :)

I think to me a cool kind of public train would be one where the first cart is a public giveaway, while the rest of the carts are private giveaways.

Pretty much anyone can access the train, but only those who notice the link in the public cart will access it. A discussion thread would also still be valuable to make people aware of the fact that the public GA actually leads to a train.

That is actually a very good idea. I didn't think of that.
I will do that on my next train. Thanks :)
Happy Cake Day.

It's pretty bad idea without a thread pointing that way in my opinion, as any user that already owns that public giveaway game will probably never enter such giveaway. I suspect 99.9% of users keep their owned games hidden.

Totally agree with that!

Thanks anothabrotha.

Yes I was toying with the idea of a user project thread.

Thanks for the advice and the well wishes. :)

Nice train. I noticed train K and Q have the same game. You probably just have two keys, but just as a heads up in case that was not intentional.

I've checked and I do have two separate keys for that game. I did notice there are two Q Trains too but hey ho, I had a lot of tabs open!
Well spotted though.

I appreciate you joining and thanks for the nice comments.
I review a lot more games but if they are over 5 hours they won't be in my curator.
Feel free to join my other curators or add me as a friend though to see my other ones :)
